Singapore Exotic Car Spotters - Meet The Rides!

Hi Guys!

 

 

The Singapore Exotic Car Spotters is organizing it's 5th installment of #MeetTheRides on the 15th of April 2017, 3pm at the open carpark outside Kallang Leisure park! Its sure to be a fun filled afternoon full of cars and petrol heads. There is no need to own or drive an exotic as the meet is for owners and lovers of these vehicles alike! We pride ourselves on the meet being one of the most diverse that we have attended with cars ranging from exotics, to JDM and even a few classics. Do come down to enjoy the beautiful cars and petrol heads who will be present! The event is 100% free and would be a lovely afternoon out either for just yourself or the entire family! I was at an SECS event (the Mustang special) at KLP last year. There was some ugliness which I won't go into again; I'm sure you're in the know if you were one of the organisers.

 

May I gently suggest that you issue a stern advisory that:

 

1) everyone involved in the gathering should adhere strictly to SG traffic law.

 

2) absolutely no showboating or "hao lian" using a car will be tolerated and will lead to a lifetime ban from the event.

 

3) any such incident that does happen will likely be caught on multiple cameras and the organisers will be most cooperative with the police agencies to ensure justice is done.

Please do this. It's important to ensure we have no repeats of what happened last time, it further tarnishes the already beleaguered image of the car enthusiasts community.

Hey! I'm so sorry for the late reply. I would like to address some of the points that you have made above, and I do thank you for bringing them up. They're all very valid points, and this is a platform that the crew can use to clarify a misconception about that incident.

 

The crew of SECS cannot stress enough that what happened at the #SECS Presents event that you have mentioned, did not happen during the event, but rather after the event had concluded. The involved person, did attend the event as an attendee and SECS does not condone such activities. The founder of the group has uploaded onto our Facebook page an advisory and some rules to be adhered to for this event. We have taken all the feedback received and will be acting upon it to ensure that such incidents don't happen at our meet. I have attached a screenshot of the advisory posted on the Facebook page.

 

I thank you for being open enough to bring up the incident and also for not pegging SECS as a lost cause. We do not condone such acts, and will be ensuring that such things don't happen.
