Ok chope not so funny

its getting sad that the rule of thumb on taboo subject such as the PM can be used in the name of funny.. have we no respect ?

Generally speaking, Ch 5 has gone down the drain. Just about the only things you can watch are The Noose and News at 9 (perhaps Renovaid).

 

What really needs to go (other than OK Chope!) is Tanglin. It has degenerated into a sad excuse for a show that is saturated with angst, anger, sadness, betrayal, envy, bitterness, which is particularly unpalatable given that it occupies the prime-time slot when presumably families come together to watch TV if they are minded to. It is most definitely does not make for family-friendly viewing. All these negative emotions are what scriptwriters resort to when they are just about running on empty for ideas.

 

Ch 8 still however make good documentaries which I enjoy.

Yes, Tanglin is now such a depressing show to watch, everybody is scheming something. Stopped watching already.

and it is a failed copycat of the successful and legendary Drew Carey's verion of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY

 

of course it is scripted, but even then it is not so easy to pull off the jokes like how they do it on Whose line.

 

Seems like they are not so well rehearsed or didnt put much effort in the prep, the small details in delivery matters a lot in comedy

taiwan is same $hit different day. You go for short hoilday, come back, still showing the same stuff where you left off. The good thing is you dont have to watch toggle to catch up on where you stop...

WWF is scripted too. Who cares as long as it is entertaining.

i still watch ch 8 documentaries and variety shows.

 

Just cook it! recently was also a very good cooking show variety programme.

 

Find me a singaporean, Tuesday Report, Lost innocence/Tong Gong etc.

 

Bengpire is something very interesting and funny as well.
