Aukang 6th Gear March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 (edited) Since Seat has a new AD here and some of us had been waiting till neck long long for Skoda to have an AD here... For the Kodiaq, would anyone buy the Seat Ateca if it was sold here? If yes, what reasonable price would you buy it at? Here is a review from Top Gear UK... https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/ateca/first-drive Disclaimer : I don't work for the local Seat AD... LoverofCar 6th Gear March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 Unproven in our shore so the only reason to buy is simply because it is not common on the road.
7hm Turbocharged March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 Pricewise as long as it is cheaper than Tiguan it has a chance, but only if it doesn't skimp on equipment.
Sdf4786k Twincharged March 21, 2017 Share March 21, 2017 needs to be specs right. If it comes with the 1.4 T or 2.0 T with all the bells and whistle. Add a good team of mechanic. under 110K @ COE of 50K. I will book one.

Yes, it's available to view in their Showroom I think. But it's bloody expensive, lowest trim starts at $150k (After promo). Who is going to pay $150k for a Seat right? AD's brain grows from its behind I think. Might as well go for Harrier Turbo for the same price. Edited June 24, 2017 by PrashanthSP
Aukang 6th Gear June 24, 2017 Author Share June 24, 2017 150k basic trim only ?! Even if the Ateca was a bigger car, ppl in the right frame of mind will go for the Q2... And save lots of $...
Falconlgh Neutral Newbie June 24, 2017 Share June 24, 2017 I saw the price list. The 150k comes with 10k used car over-trade. So it's actually 140k if u don't need to over-trade. But the specifications they bring in have quite a lot of extra features as compared to the basic trim I see in the UK website.. So I guess the price and OMV is higher due to that. Yeah with Overtrade, but still that price is just too much for Seat brand in Singapore. Look at 3008 Allure priced at $122k which is reasonable. If it was priced to compete against that price range (110K-120K) then I would've considered it. But 140K for that brand? Nope. They didn't even bother to bring in the 1.0 turbo, pretty decent performance for a 1.0 engine.
dawnocean Clutched June 24, 2017 Share June 24, 2017 Well, only time will tell if ppl are willing to buy the Seat Ateca at this price. To be fair, 3008 allure's omv is 26k with 10k cevs rebate and Cat A coe. But for Ateca Style trim, it's omv is 28k without any cevs rebate with Cat B coe. Below 140k would be good though. They didn't even bother to bring in the 1.0 turbo, pretty decent performance for a 1.0 engine. I think you gotta make a fair comparison to begin with. The Peugeot 3008 comes with a 1.2L PureTech 3-cylinder engine churning out 131 horses. 3008 is FWD 6 spd auto The Ateca comes with a 1.4L TSI 4-cylinder engine churning out 150 horses. Ateca is 4Drive (AWD) 6spd DSG Hence the price difference. Again, if the 1.0L Turbo was brought in, people would've complained about how underpowered the car is. Can't please everyone, go with whichever car catches your fancy.

Q2 1L $14x,xxx Q2 1.4L $16x,xxx Ateca 1.4L $14x,xxx If you're willing to pay about $20k more for the Q2 1.4L, by all means. But if you're talking about the same price range, you'll only be getting the 1L variant, no doubt that it's 4 Circles you're getting. You win some, you lose some. Cheers! Bassline Clutched June 25, 2017 Share June 25, 2017 Q21.0 selling @129,999, Q2 1.4 & Tiguan 1.4 should be around 150k, 10k lower than the price stated on sgCarMart, Q2 1L $14x,xxx Q2 1.4L $16x,xxx Ateca 1.4L $14x,xxx If you're willing to pay about $20k more for the Q2 1.4L, by all means. dawnocean Clutched June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 (edited) If only they brought in the 2wd, it will have a cevs rebate of $5000 (at least for this year). Price of 135k and below is definitely much more attractive. Edited June 26, 2017 by dawnocean
Bassline Clutched June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 They should have bring in the 1.0 version to compete with Qashqai, Kadjar & 3008. Instead they brought in 1.4 to compete with Tiguan. ↡ Advertisement
