I got a feeling he is not the only one that ate the bait. KMC advertise low prices, then tell customers chances of getting car low, after some anxious waiting and govt announcement, buyer become more uneasy.

Then they top up. Its a psychological game they are playing. The boss Teo Hock Seng really know how to do business. Respect him for that.

Kmc always like to play psychological game.  [rolleyes]

84k manual accent

I rather buy bezza, k3 or jazz

Bo hua la

Manual nowadays not much demand. Dealers will offer lower price if one day decide to sell. If drive the full 10 yrs then its not going be an issue

Just overheard at coffee shop someone mention COE will be lower after CNY. Anyone still thinking that durian will drop?

That is correct, COE did drop immdiately after CNY, CAT B dropped $4,600 and CAT A dropped $2,500 in Feb first round.

Same trend as 2016 and 2015. Nothing surprising.

And of course it picked up in April in 2016 and 2015, after most people got their PB. So expect the same soon

LTA wouldn't have the info....yet.

Even the ADs are scrabbling to get updated emission declaration from the manufacturers since previously only carbon emissions are required.

Asked CnC SE for the emission report of my yet to deliver car, she can only give me the carbon figure. Asked for Nox etc....don't have. Just tell me petrol cars don't have to worry about Nox....

Thanks, didn't realize that. Well, hopefully that information comes out sooner rather than later for full transparency, etc..

the new scheme is a big joke when you see that a toyota prius is no longer considered an environmentally friendly car and placed on a similar band as the E200

[hur]

Yes, not a single car on this table gets a rebate.  And if a Prius can't get a rebate, what can?

This VES has gone from carrot and stick to pure stick! [mad]

Cheering for his 84k manual accent. I got it at 87k 5dr to make him feel better. Buy and don't regret, buy with heart not with head. Though head says k3 or Astra have better features. But manual over everything heehee.

Use too much head, will end up not buying any car liao cos cannot rationalize the cost of paying so much just for 4 wheels.

Yes more like a mouse trap, sure they said stand a good chance during booking but no chance after bidding. For those already top up, we are with you and good luck. Ya get it over with.

most time we always look at $ value, but we must also think of what is the needs and wants of a buyer. Our perception of good value may differ from person to person, so is the needs and wants.

If $ value is all that is concern, we would all end up driving the same car liao lor.

In the case of @philipkee, he wanted a manual car, and the main factor to closing the deal is "manual", $ value did not take up most part of the buying deciding process.

Do we get a manual K3 for that price? Or do we even can get a manual one to start with?  [laugh]  [laugh]  [laugh]

Wise words from u as usual..

I drive manual for over a decade, I bought an auto due to limited choices.

I still prefer manual gear if given a reasonable choice

Sometimes it not just about price.

Professional car hirer drivers may prefer the manual for FC and durability... they also like to 'coast'..

Accent, nissan Amela and Suzuki swift sport.

From what I know, only these few models have manual gear and the price diff is not much compare to auto but the features r very basic, thus I bought an auto gear for other model

I curious to know the scenario below:

Let said Altis & Civic 1.6 ( which i think is same segment car and similar price currently). After VES kick in, let said Altis fall in neutral, civic fall in surcharge $10000, will these two model price got significant $10000 different or borneo motor will adjust to match close to civic price?
