Wifi disconnected also pointless unless you rip out the module (and hope there is no secret module). They can have the software secretly and automatically turn on the wifi every hour for a few seconds.

 

My cam is connected to the USB socket which can be detached.

 

Wireless is not a problem because almost all households in SG is take care of ownself one. No one will share their wifi.

So without the WPA key, it can't connect either.

It's an overkill for small fries like me.

And unlikely they'll use the SIM card method due to costs and can be easily detected when the TV goes for servicing.

 

Maybe can start to worry when they start embedding the SIM card as IC chip. Which Apple is trying to market.
