Hi

Thanks for the post and the information.

I'm still deciding between V60 and XC60 and now knowing that new XC60 is coming to Singapore. Please PM your recent XC60 purchase price. Reckon that local distribution would try to sell their old stock...

New XC60 will only be coming to Sibgapore at the end of 2017 or early 2018. Production will only commence in Q3 2017. So it will take some time before the right hand drive version reaches Singapore. Any price reduction in current model will probably be seen in the final months before the new model comes in, but even then the XC60 is selling like hot cakes in every part of the world despite being near end of life!

I have long Journey before getting Current XC60.

2008 Tested S40 but end up with MB B170

2011 Tested V60 but end up with MB C180 kompreesor W204FL

2017 Tested XC60 against C180 W205/X1 settled for XC60. Even I knew is almost EOL model.

I am so happy with the car quality and engine power, Just minor point is I wish is it should be RWD or AWD engine torque is amazing too easy to spin front wheel in FWD setup.

Volvo brand prestige is way below MB or BMW, but quality wise on fittings is few notches better than my previous C180

engine torque is amazing????

I owned a xc60 T5 before.

it is hardly powerful

it is also down to the pricing of the eol xc60

The new drive E engine?

Maybe not amazing but I would think it is quite decent for SUV and efficient in terms of its pickup and petrol consumption

I am entitled to my own opinion as you are.

Not going to argue or to defend anything it's subjective matters.

Had checked in with the SE during the V90 CC Launch event. First batch delivery expected in Q2 2017 with prices starting from 220k for T5 units. No info on whether there will be any penalty under the new VES rebate.

Considering how complete and refined the current generation of XC60 is, the new XC60 better damn well handles like a Mini, accelerates like a Ferrari and has a ride as plush as a Rolls Royce, to make it worth the premium!

Went for as low as 175k recently for the OCBC Cycle event cars. Not sure of the COE levels then.

It might be an EOL model, but it has had received numerous facelifts and refreshes with 4 different engine generations being offered in the XC60 over the years (T6, 2.0T, T5, Drive-E T5), as well as different suspensions and infotainment systems.

Congrats on your ride, the so-called "EOL" XC60 still boasts one of the best SUV-centric rides around town and power to boot.

Get a Racechip directly from racechip.de and watch that smile on your face grow even wider.... a 26mm anti-sway bar will also dramatically enhance your handling, and Koni FSD Shock Absorbers will improve the ride significantly as well.

Agree that the Drive E is very decent.

Using numbers as comparison:

Drive E T6: 2l engine with 320hp + 400Nm

IL6: 3l engine with 315hp + 450Nm

Besides numbers, did a butt-test myself which is why I was taken aback in a good sense when I test drove the T6 last year on the XC90. Put in the P* optimization and the T6 is even more lively [thumbsup]

Thanks bro,

You are right that current XC60 range is very handsome looking car. Hopefully they will run more promo and I might just get it instead of looking around and waiting for the right car.

Definitely is considering when I got the XC60 about 5 years ago, it cost me more than $210k! Although must say that COE back then was about $80k level [crazy] .

Great stuff if it is standard item as air suspension is optional item for the XC90 and it a $10k option for that matter [nosebleed]

seems like air suspension come as standard - if that's true it will be a pretty sweet package.
