What about xiaomi ?

 

My mi4i is nearly 2 years and still ok.

 

Thinking of upgrading to another xiaomi but dunno which to choose

Xiaomi is good. But they don't always bring their newest models here. So end up either get outdated stuff or not have to take the risk and buy without warranty. My wife's redmi 1s still working. Bought when xiaomi was just launched in sg. Now pass down to my son. Best part is need to fix anything also cheap. Just buy from taobao.

Damn it man, nightmare came true. My 14 month old V10 suddenly bricked, not even boot loop.

 

Going to service centre to bang table soon.

go there and see if they can warrant it still, sometimes 1-2 month they can still do it knowing that is their hardware problem. Good luck bro!!!

It took Apple 10 years after their first iphone to realise that they missed a red apple. :XD:

Luckily they said they will do a final repair FOC. Sent in on Friday, collected on Tuesday. Was told the motherboard was replaced.

yah, so far my 3 LG phones all change MB, collect next day. I guess they also know their problem so just change for you .  [laugh]  [laugh]

According to LG Singapore Website, it is available at major stores like Courts already for $1000.  Qoo10, Lazada and Carousell also bringing in sets from Korea at a lower price of $899.  This gives S8 a run for the money.

Knowing their past problems with the motherboard, I will not save 100$ by buying an export set.

Btw, the local sets come with 2 instead of 1 year warranty.  Not bad for future proofing.

Doesn't bother me lol. I pay $8 per month for some shit called M1 FoneCare+.

 

Dmged can pay $75 to replace. Lost can pay 200+ to replace.
