Kangadrool Supersonic February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 (edited) Round or rectangular, never square. But, I think round is the most ideal as there's no perceived territory/border line, every diners have the roughly the same access unlike rectangular shape table where distance can vary greatly. Also, no glass top. Take wood or marble. Looking for a dining table, what size and shape is yours? Why? If can share photos better. Sunny Hypersonic February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 shapes depend on your preference vs space allowed personally i like rectangular (fits 6 seaters) Having meals at home i always sit at the VIP area (ie, the 2 seats at ends) when MIL is here, she gets to sit there

Myxilplix Turbocharged February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Depends on the room shape and space available. My room is almost perfectly square so a round dining table fit best to maximise the walking space around the table and allow space for a sideboard. Got a custom-built 8-seater. Jamesc Hypersonic February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Why must always compare? If you are happy with the size and shape or yours, no need to keep seeing other people's.
Atrecord Supersonic February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 I have a round one with 6 chairs, with a turntable so can be easier when taking turns to share food. But the place where I put this, is quite small, as the chair on one side if put too far out, will block access. So it wasn't easy to find the right (not too big) size. It's marble, but be warned that marble must wipe conscientiously every time after meals or got stains from drinks, etc. Else, after a while the stains cannot be cleaned off, and it's irritating if you're particular. So maybe if lazy to wipe, then dun choose marble.
