The new Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Tyres- Launched

Had this on my ride and Man, they are really good. They are a grade in between PS4 and PS4s

 

Previously on PS4 and the new P-Zero are quieter. 

Dry grip is really good. Wet haven't got the change to experience. 

Protect the rims better than PS4 and the wall are harder. 

 

Those who are looking for PS4 might want to try this out. Price wise same or slightly more.

tayar time today 

the front set is very close to the TWI (tyre wear indicator) at 37,000km.

I reckon can stretch until 40k but raining season is coming, while the dry grip is still excellent, i better not testing the wet grip with tire wear near to the limit 

very happy with PZ4, will carry on using the same tayar

Noise level now compare with when it's new?

it is not a quiet tyre plus it is a run flat version

drove 35km just now, the new front tyres are just a little quieter than the worn out ones

maybe same volume, a little bit different in frequency/pitch only 😁

I swapped them left-right

the wear is quite even left-right

rear set last a bit longer, 45,000km vs 37,000km

Ya, even for rear wheel drive car. The wear and tear is heavier in the front. 

Just not as bad as front wheel drive. 

Without rotation can last 37k is consider quite good.

the price came down this year

last year I paid $440/pc for the front

today I paid $400

new stock some more (1023)

are you running different tayar at the rear nao?

i'm also contemplating changing my front soon, but dun wanna buy back PS4S. 

my rear still good for 10k i think, so thinking of changing out just the front. I never had different tyres front n back before, so I'm abit apprehensive.

rear tayar same as the front, all are P-Zero PZ4 run flat MOE

I had car installed with different brand/model tyres front and back before, no problem for me, some may say otherwise

last time when young and poor, I even ran my car with 4 different tyre brands (same size and profile) at each corner and each tire with different thread life

the only problem was the weakest one will lockup first during heavy braking (no ABS) 😁

I'm driving a RWD on staggered setup and my wear is heavier on the front too. I think it's because of the brake bias and also steering of the wheel.

Ya. Plus your engine is in front also.

But if u have drive before normal fwd car. U will know its not as bad.

think i shall try putting the F1A6s in front first and keep the rear PS4S for another six months.

Best to have 4 similar tyres at each end.

Last thing I want is traction breaks at either front or back due to different tyre grip.

true also. dunno if that happens, whether insurer will repudiate the claim due to different tayar front and back
