I owned citroen before and will not buy French car for reason being technical knowledge online is limited. Parts are also expensive to obtain. As said, hit or miss. So I prefer to go for other deemed headache brand VW for its vast online and garage support.

Making it sounds like the ride back and forth  workshop alone is quite enjoyable enough😄😄

just got a 2017 Peugeot 2008 Active...the internal lack of cubby space is a pain...any current owners do mods to increase the space?

Shopee or lazada should be able to solve your storage issues.

Regret getting Peugeot, I drove 3008. But it keeps having problems. And the problem keep persisting, the AD workshop took long time to solve the issue and most important the repair and diagnose are expensive. I will remind eveyone not to even try test drive them. Don’t be tempted by its looks.

I bought a 307SW and drove it only for 4 months, before I got rid of it.  It was the most problematic ride I had owned.   It's still a record for now.   Lol !

@Hamburger 5 months after the 5 years warranty expired, the car starts to display alarms such as “engine fault, repair needed” . I mention the alarm to the Svc center during the servicing . Since the diagnosis cost $90+ And might not be able to find the root cause the front desk guy advise if the alarm is intermittent , maybe I can consider to ignore first.  Then subsequent months I ignore the alarm until the next alarm appear , “emission control fault “ it seems serious and the alarm didn’t go off, so I decide to go to service center to check again. It’s already 2 months after the servicing. This time round the front desk guy told me , “need to replace the entire parts and refill the necessary fluid” . The parts costs 1.6k sgd and the labour cost 900++ , total cost is nearly 3k. that’s not all, if this repair can solve the problem and can let me drive with ease for another 3-4 years I am ok with that. But after awhile, I saw the same engine fault alarm appeared. I drove back to the Svc center and this time round , the guy said the Svc team didn’t manage to detect the problem so they need to diagnose and repair. So cut the long story short, I need to make so many trips to the service center and spend so much money, I am still not sure whether they really can fix the car problem . It’s either the engine issue is so serious or the Svc team is “very capable”. I haven’t shared the previous experience on the faulty aircon  , faulty suspension. I think enough is enough. I hope others will learn from my experience and try to avoid this brand and the service center. So for now, I am looking for any buyers don’t mind taking over this car.

ignoring a fault doesn't make it go away.

isn't there a specialist workshop for these cars rather than going back to AD after warranty ?

Quite similar experience to my friend who manage to tahan 3 peugoets before he call it a day and went without regret to BMW and Merc.

He mention that he don't mind spending money to fix things, but the workshop (AD) can't resolve stuff no matter how hard they try. Maybe the product is too lousy so the mechanics also white flag....

Driving my 2nd 5008. So far, common issues are aircon coil/compressor problems and electric circuit board replacement. Good thing is that Autofrance provides a 5 year warranty so all my repairs are free and they also provide free pick up of your car from your house if you need. I tend to change cars after 4 years so I didn't have any problems with the cost of repair. I previously drove 2 Benz and have problems with the auto gear shift and some minor engine problems as well. I also have friends driving BMs, Mazdas and Hondas and their cars having issues with aircon and engine too. So I think perhaps every car will have its issues and not only particularly Peugeot.

Buy a cheap OBD2 (as cheap as a few dollars) scan tool to self diagnose first.  I have a couple and the fault codes I found were the same as my workshop using laptop based scanners.

You will at least know if the WS is pulling a fast one.

Did you try going to non-AD workshop since your warranty already expired? Antz and Thomas are 2 popular choices.

So far my second-hand 2008 (2017 model) driving well after 5 months of usage.
