Attrage don't have. Thankfully. And from what u understand from the various makes, all cannot permanently switched off. Need to to be switched off every time you start the engine.

Supersonic
(edited)

Probably due to the road condition there, the mirage takes up a lot less space, can squeeze between crowds more easy

This reminds me about how Sonata cabs supposedly don't have any airbag. If that means not even one for the driver that is kind of inhumane for the taxi laus themselves.

But my point is that still a lot of people have a "it won't happen to me" mentality and when you have only 2 airbags it only helps in a forward collision. Those who benefit most from additional airbags are passengers.

But, I agree with everyone else that the prevention is better than any reduction in severity. But even though everyone seems to think so, we have bloody accidents all the same.

I do hope that you and your family are always belted up no matter in whatever vehicle and whatever seat position. And if they are kids, they are in approved child seats which are not expired.

Airbags are Supplementary Restraint Systems which need seat belts as the main restraint, without which the bags will never be effective.

I am the kind that will not move off if I see an occupant without a belt. I have seen enough videos of being people flung around.  [bigcry]

C'mon, this is not an ideal world. Its a about the $ isnt it?

Otherwise all of us would be driving in a car with roll cage and 4 pt harness and 16 airbags.

Cant be switch off permanently for your note? This start/stop feature indeed quite irritating, dont understand why so many cars now have such feature?

I heard for jazz, there is a setup that can be purchased from taobao and it will off the thing everytime the car is restarted, but for note no such thing.

All in the name of saving fuel. But if that component is faulty or damaged, the repair costs are gonna be much more than that few litres saved.

The car manufacturers are interested only in PAPER MPG and PAPER SPECS.

How the damn thing performs in the real world or what the reliability and maintenance ramifications are of secondary importance.

Let's just be honest to ourselves here. Who will not want the extra safety offered by the extra airbags?

Just don't self justify by saying they are not useful and can be mitigated by driving "more carefully"  just because one is trading safety for $.

True. Unless one has superpowers that can control other cars from potentially side swiping them or running red lights thru one's 'careful' driving. Trading safety for $$ juz say so.

Went to see it and have to say that I am not liking it at all.

In fact, all the Mitsubishi cars on sale now have lost their luster of yester-years. The last good car from Mitsubishi in my opinion was the Mitsubishi Lancer GLX. The previous Lancer GT, trying to revive the fierce look from the VR4 was just simply that - trying.

Mitsui has long lost its way. Remember the "No SiR, it's a Mivec" tagline in the 90s when the Lancer competed w the Civic SiR?

to me, the day they announce that they are going to kill the Evolution series...that's the beginning of the end.

To be honest, it's stopped evolving since the 8th generation.

Do you think there's a chance to see space stars on the road since the VES rebate will remain the same and after winning compact hatch of the year?  [laugh]

If same price or higher than Attrage I think more likely to see more Attrage on the road.

Yes, when the rear seat is so uncomfortable as compared to the attrage where the angle of seating is higher.

Today, tonnes of people were at the Mitsubishi showroom to look at mit attrage.

And Kia Forte at its own showroom

And Toyota Vios at BM

Except Hyundai Elantra at kmc

Because basic is selling at $81999 for eight bids non guarantee coe
