Wow talk about being materialistic. Actually if I was in his shoes, I would be grateful that she showed her true colours now rather than after marriage. If the car brand can be a point of contention for being "malu", it really shows her true character.

Before anyone starts finger pointing, I must clarify I'm not judging anyone who has a materialistic SO and people get together for a variety of reasons, some of which are transactional in nature but this is just not for me . If anyone knows the poor fella, please advise him to dump her for the good of his mental health and wallet.

Why must drive Bezza?” M’sian Girl Disappointed That Guy Trying to Court Her Drives A ‘Low Grade’ Car

For some people, a car is just a means of transportation, but for others, the brand of the car represents the status of an individual.

Recently, a Malaysian netizen uploaded a post on UTAR Confessions saying that a guy has been persistently trying to court her, but because he only drives a Perodua Bezza, she felt disappointed and a little skeptical.

“Bezza is a low grade car, obviously there are many other options, why must drive Bezza?” she said.

“But I don’t want to despise it, this is just from my perspective.”

The girl added that one time the guy wanted to send her home and she agreed. She then asked him why he bought a Bezza, since most young people would opt for a car like Toyota Vios.

The guy then told her that he didn’t have the budget for it as he had just started work and needed to pay off his PTPTN loans first.

The girl then said in her post that Bezza was too narrow for her and she couldn’t straighten her legs when she sat in his car.

“I knocked my head when I got out of the car as I am about 170cm tall and he kept apologising to me,” she wrote.

“I got a bruise on my head and I was angry, I didn’t want to reply his message. But after that, he bought me a gift.”

Rationally, she admitted that she is vain, but emotionally, she said she has a good impression of him.

However, she said that if she becomes his girlfriend, she is worried that she will “lose face” in front of her friends. This is because her ex-boyfriend used to drive a Nissan while this guy only drives a Bezza.

At the end of her post, she said she feels annoyed by the situation and added that she feels the guy is about to confess to her soon and doesn’t know what to do if he does.

Nice sharing ya. This post got me thinking, so back here in our homeland, does the brand of the car also speaks volume of the driver too?

Does someone who owns a sushi/kimchi car more of a practical person as compared to a continent car? Or car is just to expensive to own in sg and drivers settle for whatever they can?

In my case, my colleagues at work keep asking why I brought a bezza when there are so many other options available, machiam I committed a crime.

Nothing wrong with being materialistic.

I myself am looking for a good looking young lady for romance.

Must have an LFA.

Please send photo

of the LFA.

(in msia context) I think it's more blessed if a girl accepts and loves you in spite of your driving of a bezza, (and in sg) if u go by public transport =D

the "and in sg" part is somewhat very true in my opinion. Car ownership here is just imbalance too.

No one in right mind will pay so much for a Malaysia car. Maybe that's how they feel.

Yes it the most underrated car in Sg.

The 1.3 engine is almost  the same as in the 1.3 Vios.

The boot is bigger than a Vios and the rear seat is very spacious.

And you cannot get a more reliable car.

`Thousands of them in MY and you never hear any reliability problems.

Cheap to run, cheap to fuel, cheap to service. and good pick up.

A wacky idea just came to mind, just remove the bezza words, and swap the front and rear badge for Toyota. Let people ask u what model it is and tell them it’s a special toyota 🙂 Prob the ruse can work with the majority of the population...

Actually Toyota themselves rebadged the Bezza as the Etios to sell in Pakistan.

Any Pakistani come to Sg and see the Toyota Bezza will ask why you change the Etios badge to a Bezza.

Well, this is big news. Toyota has finally replaced its long-serving Etios budget sedan and, surprise, surprise, the new second-generation model – which has just been launched in Pakistan – is based on the Perodua Bezza! This is the first Toyota to be based on a Perodua, instead of the other way around.

The Etios has been around since 2010, so the arrival of this new model gives Toyota a leg up in this competitive segment in the region, with new features such as Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and the Eco Idle automatic engine start/stop system – the same items that can be found on the Bezza.

Yeah I measured it to make sure she fit in before buying.

This was the most important thing.

If too small it was a deal breaker.

She looked quite comfy right?

Well she didn't complain.
