Ermm, until March 2026..

I renew for another 10 years.

My BFF is the lucky person with no car problems.

If COE goes up his car can last to 2026.

If COE goes down he can scrap and just buy a new car.

My BFF is very smart.  [thumbsup]

wah, BFF. you flatter me, got sweet tooth for the day? [:p]

cheap B&B, cannot compare..

I got my car in older days for only $10k which allows me to drive for 8 years..

no major repair till date, just regular maintenance in Malaysia.

parts are also relatively cheap and affordable for this unpopular engine.

no thieves would steal this car too..

to them, its expensive.

my parf is also low hence decide to forgo and renew for another 10 years.

Agree, why they don't bring over the advance model at the first? very stxxp strategy, if your brand can not attract people, then use the quality and drive experience, purely low price, can not help more. The most funny thing is, the other model event got more features than this new model, chooi.... wrong strategy used, the AD management has no br....

This being a budget car, the Advance model has a higher OMV, which means higher selling price.

Premium sells at $76,800 now. Advance may sell at $79,800.

Honestly at this price, and with CEVS and scrap value of $2,500 = annual dep $7,700, I might as well as get the Kia K3 at $84K with scrap value of $6K = annual dep $7,800.

For an extra $1K dep over 10 years, I get a 1600cc Korean 6 speed auto & much more spacious & of  a higher class.

Price is  a very sensitive factor for the Bezza.

Agreed to a certain extent, safety equipments alone will sway me towards the Bezza, if directly compared to K3 only the SX is equipped with those. For 3k more these options are only available factory fitted.. imho...

a smart fellow who weighs his dollar wisely. [thumbsup]

so got your K3 already? must bring me go 'eat wind'

try 0-100

drift in NUS etc

not sure if I told you before, my wife and I like k3 especially the higher grade..

haha, but like is one thing, affording it is another question.

I foresee myself, should I ever buy a new car.

the scrap value does not matter to me as eventually I will renew the coe again.

hence, reliable and affordability really matters to me.

but again, I must criticise the local p2 team, they have failed awfully while they could really make a bang in the local market.

For reliability and construction solidity / steel gauge, the Korean brands (Hyundai or KIA) will beat the Malaysia and Thai made cars hands down

copy paste from K3 thread...

**********************************************

I considered about LX before, but a lot of accessories are not available, eventually i got for EX....

I listed the different between LX and EX for your reference. Cheers!!

- No DRL - Daytime running lights cost hundreds to replace against $20 for a  halogen light bulb

- No rear aircon - Rear air con vents are placed very low and are ineffective in cooling the rear. It also reduces the coldness form the front vents. Air from teh front vents are stronger and colder without rear air con vents

- with 15' alloy rim (EX is 16', SX is 17') - Broader 16" & 17"  rims consume more fuel and produces higher drag

- the wing mirrow will come with no color (black)  - easier to maintain. Even if you hit the wall when parking, there no tears, as no paint is lost

- Fabric seat instead of leather seat - The fabric seat is stock from factory unlike the locally fitted leather seats for EX. Fabric seats are also cooler on a hot day

- OMV is also lesser than EX, but i can't remember how much - OMV is less by $800, but the L model costs $6,000 less.
