Z Car Packs An Extra Punch

If you're worried the Nissan 350Z might not be quick enough for you, don't fret - a 300bhp tuning pack is to be offered when the car goes on sale in October.

The kit has been produced by the Japanese maker's motorsport division, NisMo, and will be the first in a series of uprated mainstream Nissan models which are bound for UK showrooms.

The 350Z's performance pack - due to be announced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend - is to be offered through dealers as an option. It includes a stainless steel exhaust, reprogrammed engine management system and a new air filter to boost power from 276bhp to 300bhp.

Torque will increase from 363Nm to 380Nm.

While the upgrade's cost has yet to be finalised, it's expected to be about

Depending on how you look at it......

Actually, I find that the spoiler on the "Sport-Pack" 350Z looks rather out of place. Somehow, the spoiler doesn't really gel with the nice lines of the Z........... [gossip]

For me, the standard version is more than sufficient. [nod][thumbsup]

Turbocharged

yes, a aesthetically 'perfect' or convincingly good car design usually needs no 'extra' body kit to improve its look, at the same time, whatever body kits to be added without looking out-of-place but enhance the original look are going to be hard to design......smile.gifsmile.gif

Agreed! [thumbsup] Just look at the Porsche 928 - the first "bumper-less" car, and my favourite for years... You couldn't add spoilers without, well, spoiling its lovely lines [nod]

The 928S and GTS that followed weren't bad, but they lost the purity of the original design. Just like what Lamborghini did with the Countach - the first LP400 was drop dead gorgeous, while the run-out LP500 qv had too many jutting edges and scoops, more like a gargoyle on wheels.
