Swee lah bro...pix pic!!!!!

After my last e60, I fell out with sedan.

Stinger has reignite my lust for it again!!

Haha yes bro Stinger is a car easy to fall in love with at first sight. Super easy to live with also with all the equipment and space.

Past 2 days I've been testing it out at higher speeds. When the torque comes on, it's not something overly break neck, vulgar or aggressive but you can feel the relatively punchy engine pushes you along, something I couldn't get from the FWD A4. And because the suspension is stiffer than my A4, at higher speeds it doesn't have that floaty feeling as much. But noise insulation lose to conti cars above speeds of 130 or 140.

If only it had a DCT instead of the 8AT. I find the paddle shifters abit slow to downshift.

I prefer the conventional autobox. Less troubles.

Ive had the Alfa selespeed which is an automated single clutch and the Volvo Powershift which is a DCT.. maintenance and clutch replacement is

Continental mah... it's part of the cost... I think the Korean version should be less costly to live with... ha ha...

I'm too spoilt by Audi DCT [laugh] but you're right, for a daily workhorse car, maybe AT is more suitable.

It's from VW, isn't it also problematic?

For someone who's very active on a car forum, I thought you would be more knowledgeable and less ignorant.. but I'm wrong  <_<

Am driving  a wet dsg and it's my 1st  after numerous conventional torque converter.

Frank assessment is it does take some getting use to initially when I first drove it, especially the half clutch feel when moving off.

But all is forgiven with  the more direct gearshift feel and how fast it responded to the throttle feed.

So will l choose a DCT over a torque converter?

A definitely yes.

Thanks bro.

The HUD in my 2.0T is very basic one. Only digital speed nia I think. Overseas market one got show others like navi info but also don't have rev counter. Local 3.3 v6 I dunno.

It's not very obvious but interior is red leather (the previous pic I share). Black color tones down alot on the exterior and its curves. Will look more outstanding and exciting on lighter colors like white, yellow, red and blue.

Agreed...... black has done no “justice” to its sexy appeal.....

This article talks about Audi shifting away from DSG for their S4 and S5. For US market, the Jetta comes in an 8-speed torque converter. Not sure if they will also do the same for other markets, so enjoy the DSG while its still around.

Yes, even enthusiast favourites Alfa Romeo Guilia QV and the BMW M5 are using torque converter gearboxes now...

Good article below covers some of the reasons for the switch, which is in line with the Drive article link above

No choice man. I was looking to get the luscious red interior and only unit available was black in color. Getting into the car each time makes me feel better about the otherwise tamed exterior color [laugh] I'm sure other colors will make the Stinger look more pronounced and exciting.

Heard you bro...... and the red interior would be my choice of colour as well......

This Stinger is really a head turner!! Seen it a few times, 1 yellow, 1 blue and maybe 1 black or red. Too bad out of my budget. Haiz.

Saw 2 black, 2 red, 3 white, 2 Micro Blue and 1 Panthera Metal on the road. Still wanna see and waiting for the purple-ish Deep Chroma Blue.

BTW, has anyone seen colour wrapping on car that one moment it’s reflective bright purple and the next moment it’s reflective bright blue..... somehow I saw this colour wrapping on 2 BMW on the road..... is this the current trend nowadays?

I'm sorry if I offended you but I haven't heard much about Audi's gearbox... most of the complaints have to do with VW... that's why I ask... after all Audi is owned by VW...
