KIA Stinger GT

Hi, quick question on parking the Stinger.

As we usually reverse park in Singapore (until rear tire touches the kerb usually) is the Stinger too low for that? Used to always hit my exhaust when I was driving my Euro-R in the past with modded exhaust haha

Follow up question.. any issues with entering carparks in Sg? I remember like Ikea in Alexandra always scrape front bumper cos there's a hump right at the end of the downslope in my old ride  [:p]

Got any difference meh?

Looks like all very minor cosmetic stuff only.. price increase coming?

if u go for the stock, such things wont happen as the electronics suspension will do the work.

I was driving a FD2R before and always have this issues

Does the stinger have suspension which will auto adjust the car height when going down steep slopes?

Just saw a wrapped metallic blue Stinger SMH plate... anyone's here? So new wrap already? What happens to the original paint work when you remove the wrap?

With a high quality wrap like 3M (adhesive is good), nothing bad. It protects the original paint.

With a cheapo wrap, who knows?

Even the best adhesive out there, if you stick too long and expose it to too much elements. It’s gonna damage the bottom layer.

So once you wrap, you need to remove it after some time.

What would you say is a safe period to leave the wrap on?

1) budget quality

2) expensive type

Assume 2 scenarios for each:

A) sheltered parking home and office

B) parking under hot sun at least part of the day.

No idea man.

here says 3 years. But then it’s in Ang mo land. In the tropics with our heat and humidity everything breaks down much quicker.

It also depends on if it is the original paint.? Resprayed cars without proper prep will see the paint being peeled off even with 3M i assume.

for me it too many unknowns. No real hard and fast rule. Unless the shop guarantees you? With a full body respray if their wrap peels off your paint? I doubt any would dare to claim that.

So in the end it’s luck. And the skill of the person removing the wrap. My guess is 2years in the hot sun with the correct 3M wrap should be safe.

Thanks. Good estimate I think and most people who wrap will get fed up and want a change in a couple of years anyway.
