13177 Hypersonic September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 If both SQ and CX are at the same price, I would take SQ too. SQ still has that little touch that just edges CX. But if CX is $50 cheaper, I'll take CX. Even though SQ accepts NS50 vouchers. Even CX cheaper i also would not take CX anymore, dont want wait get stuck by the flight delay. Think still must insists to take SQ at all time, unless SQ never fly to that place. Lol. ↡ Advertisement

So far just a 40 min delay in my travels with CX and KA.
Blueray Hypersonic September 7, 2017 Share September 7, 2017 Me too! $50 is also $. wahaha. Yup, That's about HK$280. Can buy a box of Wing Wah double yolk mooncakes and a box of Kee Wah wives biscuits at the airport to bring back to share with friends and family. Had a BBQ gathering among classmates recently and my contribution was a box of Kee Wah airport exclusive wives biscuits which are baked daily, sometimes sold out by mid afternoon. CX is now using more A350s on the SIN-HKG runs, new planes so pretty quiet and comfortable. On my last trip a week ago, scheduled departure from HKG was 1640, they started boarding at 1605 and by 1630 everybody was onboard and doors were closed for push off. They served Haagen Dazs too.

Actually CX is quite good, i always take their flight for most of my trips, esp to HK. But since encountered 2 flight delays and also heard delay becomes common on their flight, now i avoid taking CX.

Thaiyotakamli Supersonic September 12, 2017 Share September 12, 2017 At least they are better than Qantas. I never forget the day when I took the nite flight to Australia, the ang mo steward actually asked me to take the plain water from the water dispenser behind myself when I asked for water the second time. I still remember what he said. He held my cup and finger pointing behind - you take this cup and take the water from there if you still need water. That was 20 years ago and I have not been flying with them since. What a bad service! I got fly them before and once all their stewardess on strike, so i board the plane no stewardess only ah pek stewards

Blueray Hypersonic September 12, 2017 Share September 12, 2017 IF you can get the date and time slot that you want. I checked for Jan 18, CX still have morning departures from SIN and early to mid afternoon returns from HKG. The SQ $228 for Jan 18 I think sold out already. Now $255 per pax. Had the same experience in 2009, asked for more water when they were serving meals, the steward tapped on the packaged water and said there's your water! Boycotted them ever since. At least their service standard didn't drop in the last 2 decades... consistently atrociously rude ↡ Advertisement
