Blueray Hypersonic September 1, 2017 Share September 1, 2017 For CX, if you want to have notification via email or SMS on flight status, have to sign up for their notiFLY service on their website.

They hv special fare with promo code from time to time. They will email its link with promo code to its email subscribers. Cheaper than those CX-credit card promo. I flew to BKK at only sgd168 nett per pax in May. And my friend fly to BKK this coming Dec at sgd178 nett per pax. I gave her the link n code as she's not a subscriber.

They have been sending me emails but the deals are for HK departures and in HKD, so I did not pay attention. Maybe I need to check the country setting.

Extremme 4th Gear September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 (edited) Oh, I did key in my number for sms and email notification. Heng only delay for 1 hr+. Oh, I didn't know that. My last trip with them was in May to Korea. Delayed for 7hrs but it was for a valid reason (engine problem) so I valued my safety over the delay. As the saying goes: Better be late than never. Quite drama, the koreans were already protesting at the airport. The HK Police had to be called in. I think it's all luck. I took SQ to Korea last year, also delayed 2-3 hours. Best thing, it was abt to take off and it was towed back. *sweat* Edited September 6, 2017 by Extremme
Jman888 Moderator September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 was thinking Cathay or SQ to HK since both having promotion 2 weeks ago, booked SQ in the end.
Blueray Hypersonic September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 was thinking Cathay or SQ to HK since both having promotion 2 weeks ago, booked SQ in the end. If both SQ and CX are at the same price, I would take SQ too. SQ still has that little touch that just edges CX. But if CX is $50 cheaper, I'll take CX. Even though SQ accepts NS50 vouchers.
