I know there are "many ppl" giving advise. As this is a forum, i wld think that this is a place to share ideas and thinking and discuss about all sorts of probabilities. Instead, it turns out to be a place for lecturing and self centered and self defensive ppl to "voice" out. Dissapointing instead. Defeat the purpose.

If you think you know better, than why bother asking? Just make up your mind and spend your money.

The point of a forum is to see all other viewpoints and the re-evaluate. If you can't take any criticism, then it's better you talk to the salesman selling and ask for advice as only they will never criticize their potential customer.

4 disc brakes. Abs. And traction control are never strong selling points.

For a light and slow car like accent, I dunno the relevance of traction control here in Singapore.

Yes u can tell me the science about traction control. But it's not at the top of buyers mind I feel.

I think price, design. Fuel consumption. The no. Of air bags, brand matter more.

Ya, accent is a rather slow car, similarly many other bb cars like altis, Mazda 3 1.5, Kia k3, Nissan Sylphy, Elantra are all 11.Xs for century sprint, very similar to accent 6 speed MT.

Wait Lancer 1.6 EX is 13.6s Kia k3 1.6 is 12.1s, Nissan Almeria 1.5 auto is 13.7s, Honda jazz 1.3 is 12.9s,attrage is 14s.

My previous ride was a 5speed Mt vios which can do century sprint at 9.8s..really not bad for 1.5l car..

Only another bb car jazz 1. 5l is better at 9.6s

My advice, only buy accent if you want a MT and okay with bare bones interior aka no electronics to fail and decent fc at 15km/l. Else you can be a carrot to KM who allows special order of its manual version of jazz, civic and etc at 10k on top of the price for automatic transmission... Really crazy and long waiting period.
