watch u tube, there are plenty of suggestions to clean cat converter, whether it works or not, it's up to you to try

you may get rid of carbon, but if the cat is already damaged, the precious metal contaminated or destroyed, then no amount of cleaning will help.

Thanks Bro, will try it

Autosaver has a branch at Toh Guan. if you happen to be in the central area, you may want to consider going to Riverview Auto.

Did u solve the problem? I got the same issue, its P0420 code error. Tried to put o2 sensor defouler, it cleared for 800kms but error is back bought a 2010 wish last year n used for 8k kms before the fault started. Apparently previous owner removed the CAT

CAT as in Catalytic Converter ? If yes, that is illegal leh.  Anyway, who care whether illegal, TP and LTA would not have the ability to detect the CAT is missing lor.

But, there is a risk of Carbon Monoxide poison leh .......

P0402 detect the effectiveness of the CAT lor ....... The only way to fix it, is to REMOVE the CEL Light.  Problem Solved !!

Hello,

To answer your question:

The engine light comes on to indicate a malfunction in the engine or the pollution control system. This can cause the engine power loss. In this case, it is necessary to stop the car immediately, because there is a risk of deterioration of the engine.

However, it may also happen that the malfunction indicator lights up following a false contact or a non-dangerous fault of the vehicle, for example.

The easiest way is to check what triggered the lighting of the light, to see if a possible fault is causing it or if it is a simple mistake.

To do this, you can contact a professional, who can proceed with the diagnosis and possibly repair this failure. The price varies between 50$ and 100$.

You can also purchase a diagnostics application that allows you to separate actual faults from non-hazardous display faults.

I hope you find a solution to your problem quickly.
