Apple-Tree 6th Gear August 25, 2018 Share August 25, 2018 CAT as in Catalytic Converter ? If yes, that is illegal leh. Anyway, who care whether illegal, TP and LTA would not have the ability to detect the CAT is missing lor. But, there is a risk of Carbon Monoxide poison leh ....... P0402 detect the effectiveness of the CAT lor ....... The only way to fix it, is to REMOVE the CEL Light. Problem Solved !! On 8/24/2018 at 7:17 PM, ABZ2017 said: Did u solve the problem? ElyasCham September 17, 2018 Share September 17, 2018 (edited) Hello,To answer your question:The engine light comes on to indicate a malfunction in the engine or the pollution control system. This can cause the engine power loss. In this case, it is necessary to stop the car immediately, because there is a risk of deterioration of the engine. However, it may also happen that the malfunction indicator lights up following a false contact or a non-dangerous fault of the vehicle, for example. The easiest way is to check what triggered the lighting of the light, to see if a possible fault is causing it or if it is a simple mistake. To do this, you can contact a professional, who can proceed with the diagnosis and possibly repair this failure. The price varies between 50$ and 100$.You can also purchase a diagnostics application that allows you to separate actual faults from non-hazardous display faults. CarDiag: Diagnose Your Car : ~4$ Torque OBD2 : ~ 4$ I hope you find a solution to your problem quickly.
