Car show on 29th -30th Oct at Expo Hall 4 and 5

Oh, there is a Church Service rented out @ Hall 1~3.  Seems permanent one lor.

 

After service go shopping and look see lor.   Every Sunday, the Expo CP is full de .....

 

 

 

 

 

Was there a long while on sunday

 

"crowded" or not is really subjective,

Throughout the day, there was a constant stream of people

 

Was thinner very early on sunday but it had a few peak time periods in the afternoon

Could not even get into most of the popular AD cars because most had to wait

 

At peak periods, all the tables for the popular brands such as madza, toyota, nissan, etc were all taken up with the SEs doing budget/loans. Not sure how people can tell whether people were signing bec u need to be on the right spot to witness that few min signing of forms

 

Jag/volvo/bmw were also packed.

 

Overall for most periods the expo had good crowds, but appeared a little subdued. sch exams are still on for a no of schs., that might limit the crowd.

 

Overheard a couple "negotiating" with a SE next to a Toyota altis.

Then the SE asked, sir what car are u driving now? the guy answered "Mesarati"

SE stunned for a second.

Its so funny, maybe one of the forumers here

Last time no uber grabcar. Now have. So demand is significantly much higher. Last time rental cars are usually 2nd hand. Now demand is so high they need to buy new car rent out.

Think last time rental companies also buy new car for rental, but maybe the number of new cars that they buy not as many as uber/grab buying now?! Lol.

Just a couple of data point to help your understanding.

 

Car population vs rental car population

2014  - 600k private cars,  19k rental cars

2016 -  558k private cars,  45k rental cars

the delta is 42K private  cars reduction, and 26K rental car increase.

New model 2.0L camry is going at 135,900, 2.5L existing model going at 139,900 in showroom. Both are NG and must register car before year end. That means chances of getting COE is high because they are pushing for their year end sales quota

Car show is only good for having all under one roof. And after a while people will know that showroom actually offers the same price less the models.

Yes the Camry isn't the most sexy car, but it was roomy and had decent build.

It appeals to a certain sector, where predictability, reliability and roominess are paramount.

Got once I saw a SLD car plate from the back, and im telling my parent this is a coe renew car but change new car number, because the back view of this new Camry design looks like the,2006 or 90s version.

 

Then when I drove to the front n see, ya its the new ultra super duper uncle camry
