Carbon82 Moderator February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Only for die hard fans.... Must pay for Adoption at VW? Might as well buy VW. Err... If you have been in the Skoda Superb, you might change the perception about the brand. No about been a die hard fan, but the value offered by the ride. Without a AD, would have to self import, and probably VW Singapore would not even take in the car for general servicing. But since most part are share with VW & Audi, many workshops can do the job well.
Carbon82 Moderator February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Unless VW decided not to share body panel and design cue among sibling brands this time round, it would not be difficult to guess / imagine how Kodiak will look like in another ~8 months time (the new model is schedule for debut in Oct 2016), basing on the new Seat Ateca (5 seater model).
Axela72 5th Gear February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Nice looking car but major concerns is when it come to repair, there will be a cost and time impact on the unique part. E.g. body kit Unless VW decided not to share body panel and design cue among sibling brands this time round, it would not be difficult to guess / imagine how Kodiak will look like in another ~8 months time (the new model is schedule for debut in Oct 2016), basing on the new Seat Ateca (5 seater model). Baal Supersonic February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 "........The engine line-up will feature familiar VW Group motors, predicted to start with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol. The core motor will be diesel, though – a 1.6 or 2.0-litre, in various states of tune, including the 237bhp twin-turbodiesel from the VW Passat. Front and four-wheel drive will be offered, along with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic........" =========================================== I suppose the 1.4 TP & 1.6 TD will be DQ200 (dry) & only the 2.0TD will be DQ380 (wet)?

Karu 6th Gear February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 The question is whether it is worth the cost & effort to own the car. VW DNA....
Lab4games 1st Gear February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Only for die hard fans.... Must pay for Adoption at VW? Might as well buy VW.Why do you need to even go back to vw? The savings you get from getting the Skoda (without vw dealer's profit) is significant. Many workshop can service a Skod without being charged the the rates for servicing at AD.
Axela72 5th Gear February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 the curious thing is why VW has never been well known of good realiability but Skoda is one of the most realible conti car even though they share many of the same part?
