Dun forget some KM SE's r also prophets. When I went to check out the Jade, was given quite a cold reception by the KM SE maciam I was wasting her time. A self fulfilling prophecy indeed......

Finally got a chance to see the actual CRV at Kah Motor, note that their showroom model is a diesel with different trim from what they are selling.

I gotta say I am DISAPPOINTED, gonna bin it.

1. It could be me, but the driver seat doesn't offer enough support for my thigh, really uncomfortable when my legs are stretched to the pedals

2. Priced similar to CX-5 & Harrier, but lack many of the safety features of both like lane keep assist, autonomous braking, rear cross traffic alert etc

3. You can book now but unknown date for delivery of vehicle

4. SE's attitude was really cocky. When we mentioned our concerns about CRV lack of features (no Honda Sensing available in SG), her reply was simply Honda cars don't need features to sell, customers buy Honda for the brand. Honda cars always sell without need to see the actual vehicle nor test drive. She didn't seem interested to address our selection criterias, it was really more of you want CRV, then just pay up and wait

sounds like the usual sales pitch DNA. "XXX car dont need to test drive one, you got money , buy.., when you ready then call me. "

Not true that KM SE have attitude problem. In total, me and my Father in law bought 4 hondas from KM with different SE. all with good experiences. 1 stream and 3 ODC. The last one whom I bought the odc still send me birthday greetings after 2 years.

I believe we might share the same SE. Into my 8th year of Honda ownership having bought twice from the same person and he has never failed to wish me happy birthday every single year. This kind of service attitude is becoming more rare, as he is one of the longer-serving staff. Partly the reason (apart from the quality of their cars) why I have enjoyed my Honda experience so far.

But his service is ok only. But I'm quite chin chai, so no biggie. But he does send me CNY greetings via whatsapp.

Yeah I'm not the most fussy buyer too, but it's these small little personal touches that make you feel that your support is valued. I still remember one night my SE came to meet me at my place as I couldn't make it during KM's opening hours, even though it was to collect cheque lol.

haha this one is common lah.  [laugh]

I'm such a nice guy. I went down myself even to return the 2nd car key of my altis i was trading in.

Should have asked them to come get it from me.

Then how to justify them continue pricing their MIT car at premium price if no buyer from them? They eat grass to survive or still support by Their Honda fanatic?

Just see for yourself how many AD Honda cars do u see on the road, they have been reduced drastically since a few years back. Their profit margin is big, their cars are made in Thailand and priced as if they were made in JAPAN. So obviously they are earning fat cheques for each car sold. Brainwashed people will still buy from them no matter what.

I don't think KM has a significantly larger margin than most of it's competitors.

The margins are roughly similar except this time, Harrier turbo margin is thinner than the usual 20+k that BM gets for it's higher end car.

When i bought my car, their margin was 17k. Which is roughly the same as BM. TC earned a bit lesser at about 15k for the teana 2.5

They have a tendency to price some of their range out though.

We may not need all the fanciful features but we expect right pricing.

If you like the CRV and want to see if the price improves, better to wait until Nov/December, then see what they offer.

KM also likely to have a tendency not to price their cars higher IF there is a COE jump.

TEK and BM typically will adjust like for like.

For example, one of the major reasons i bought my car was that the 4 mth period i was monitoring the competitors, COE increased by 7k, but KM only increased the price by <2k (also cos my car is a low volume seller). Then relatively, it was more worth it to get it then.

My SE is RT and he had been there for more than 10 years and I also introduced him to my cousin when my cousin wanted to buy the ODC EXV-S.  There was a JL whom I bought the stream in 2004 had already left whom was good too.

Looks like the older SEs there really not bad. Spoke to a younger SE initially when I was thinking of changing cars and the service level wasn't as good, more like wanna buy then buy attitude.

Younger SE of different AD same attitude. Not sure they have other side income or this is just their side income.

Maybe the older generations focus on building relationships for the long term; younger folks want faster returns, otherwise don't waste their time.

Just to check where did you see the new CRV? At Leng Kee or Ubi?

Thanks...
