Bkling 2nd Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 Just a nob question, shall we apply and stick all the car body protection such as bumper guard/car body guard and Visio etc before sending for car coating or the other way round? The concerning is whether the 3M double sided tape will stick well on the coated paint such as ceramic type. Anyone can share this info? ↡ Advertisement
7hm Turbocharged October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 Just a nob question, shall we apply and stick all the car body protection such as bumper guard/car body guard and Visio etc before sending for car coating or the other way round? The concerning is whether the 3M double sided tape will stick well on the coated paint such as ceramic type. Anyone can share this info? More likely the coating will have difficulty adhering to the stickers than the other way around. And somehow the sticker comes off while coated, the sticker takes the coating with it. I'd rather coat the car first then add additional protection which is relatively easy to replace. It also helps that a freshly detailed car is clean and prime for sticking on such stuff. Up to you really though. I don't think the sticker will have a lot of trouble sticking to a coated surface.

Other dan using 3M double sided tape make sure you clean the contact surfaces on the camera and windscreen. You may use alcohol swab or a damp cloth. Wait awhile to dry, make sure it's clean and has no sticky residue. Apply the tape. If it doesn't work like the camera is kinda heavy, remove it from the mounting bracket (if there's one) and let the bracket stick to the windscreen for about an hour before fixing the camera back.
Cypher 4th Gear February 24, 2017 Share February 24, 2017 I remembered if you go to workshop to install they will put some primer before actually pasting the bracket.. ↡ Advertisement
