The racing seats are supposed to be an attraction but obviously it won't fit everyone..

The top of the seat should have been slightly curved instead of curving so much like now.

Well when I test drive the car I paid more attention to the drive instead of the seats. Only after collecting the car then I found the seats to be uncomfortable.

I'm medium build at 1.75m and after adjusting the seats of my A-Class I find it very comfortable and my back well supported  [laugh]

Maybe you can refer to the car manual - there is actually a section advising you the recommended seat adjustments (e.g. adjust till the back of your head at eye level is resting on the headrest, etc)

I think his problem is the headrest is not adjustable. So any other adjustments mean he will have to compromise on the other aspect of the driving position, eg, tilt the back rest backwards so that the back of the head is not touching the top part of the seat.

maybe give it some time, your body will get used to the curvature of the seats.

If not you sell now, you are going to take a big hit.

Bro Shox87,

Just a thot, how much will a Merc Owner stand to loose (in dollar sense), if he sells the car in 2 years? Take the CLA200 for example.

I'm thinking that by using the Total Buying price of $156K for a start. Minus the PARF value of $15K (roughly, not 100% sure), that makes per year depreciation is 14.1K (straight line depreciate over 10 years).

In so, the selling price of the car would be around $127,800. Will this be a reasonable price to ask and will anyone buy it at this price?

Seem the new A-series and it looks so FIERCE!!!  [thumbsup]

Care to comment, anyone?

Thanks

Yup you are probably right on the compromise of comfort to adjust to the ideal driving position..

Maybe Crawler75 can focus more on the drive every time, so that you wont pay attention to the seats at all (just like during test drive) haha! [laugh]

In other countries you can get the standard chair instead..

Very comfortable and excellent support for the thighs and back.

You can drive the whole day without fatigue or pain.

I think 2 years car, you can potentially lose up to 35-40% of the value of the car. A good estimate would be 50% depre in 3-3.5 years of ownership. Thats probably the price that dealers will offer.

Generally Mercs and BMW re-sale value are quite strong.

Thanks for all your inputs.

That's a lot to lose for the 2 years. :TT_TT:

Since the new A-series will not arrive to our shores any time soon, still have some months or year to go, before that decision to make.

In that same note, in what year would be the most suitable (meaning lowest depreciation per yer) to change sell and buy a new one? All car owners would be facing the fact that buying and owning a car is a sure lose money one.... kekeke. But the trills and fun of driving one sure beats the lost.IMO

TIA

Keep your car for at least three years before you can change again. Normally it fetch better value

Hi guys,

Come to think of it, my wifey car CLA200 had the wiper very loud when wiping rain water off the screen. The car is still within the 2nd year of use since buying direct fromC&C.

My Ody do not have this issue for at lease 3~4 years using original wiper from Honda. Cost quite a bit as compared to those generic ones, but it does not fit my Ody.

Anyone had this problem?

Thanks

Yup, I agree with you. Never had such uncomfortable racing/sports before...

I dont think you can even get 115k after 2yrs. i would think only 100k, the reason is simple 1. dealer will tell u coe uncertainty 2. if dealer take your car at 115k, they need to make 10k, so they will sell at 125k, new car being 156k (difference of 31k which is like 15.5k/yr) i would rather go for new one, depre being the same. so how can they sell?

Sounds so depressing..

When I enquired about a two year old car, the cost was almost the same as a new car! I add 10k and I get the facelift version and more.. so I bought new

Consolation is to drive the car for as long as possible.

Depreciation reduces over the years until the end of life
