The brochure i took at the showroom says Torsion Beam Axle

It appears that the base model in certain markets like Australia gets a torsion beam rear suspension whereas the higher spec ones do get an independent multi-link. This is similar to how VW specs their Golf. The 1 litre model uses a torsion beam for the rear.

I just asked my SE.. he said yes price is now $87,999..but komoco doesn't throw in the 3 years free service and one year road tax already. Quite a nice SE, not pushy. In fact during the motor show, he told me he book in for me first.. After i test drive if i don't like, he will cancel.. No obligation. Choo 97229456. Any bros who wanna buy can contact him. He may be able to throw in some freebies personally out of his own pocket

No offence but the picture don't really tell the answer does it? Or maybe I'm the one who don't really know what to look out for.

That picture answers all the doubts. It shows a rear lower suspension arm. Which means the rear has independent suspension setup, which means it has multi-link rear suspension setup than the torsion beam setup.

You just proved my point... torsion beam suspension is a solid axle that runs across the rear of the car connecting both the rear wheels.

Not so clear though...

This is how a typical torsion beam rear suspension setup looks like ...

Noticed the thick beam across the 2 wheels? Do u see this setup in the pic of the i30's rear suspension? As such, the 2 wheels are independent of each other in i30's multi link independent suspension.
