Ya, as discussed previously, at 150k they can keep it. With coe hovering around 30k, it has to be below 130k to move.

Assuming that it has also zero VES. To sell well below 125k would be ideal. For 15k more than the swift sports, will take this anytime.

In uk, the base model is priced around the kona 1.6t. So kona 1.6t is 118k, so at most a 5k higher price.

I reckon, in current market, up to $130-135K is still a pretty decent deal.. given its performance (250bhp 350nm 6 seconds) and nice styling. Anything more, it loses out because no longer value for money.

I also think that the sweet spot should be around $130k..It needs to be at least a good 10-20k cheaper than the stylo milo stinger.

The fastback looks very nice and itâs C pillar looks like the latest bmw x4.

The interior is a let down though. No wow factor like the stinger.

That’s the problem when this N version is actually the top model of a bread and butter car. You cannot suddenly change the interior to properly reflect its price, performance and intended market position.

While Stinger is a stand-alone model on its own.

That said, this i30N FB resembles a lot of the Audi A3, just slightly different C pillar and sloping roof at the back. I can’t see many people willing to spend $150K on this though.

A similar tack like what VW and Ford does with their Golf & Focus respectively... but people still buy the GTI or RS... albeit in pretty limited numbers... Hyundai is simply following the established order...

Stinger is rear wheel drive and also the M design boss from bmw had a hand in the suspension. Not quite Bmw handling yet. But it’s a great start to the Conti world from a kimchi side of equation.

I30n is still front wheel bias. While nothing wrong. It’s not as engaging. I would hope they bump up the power to 300bhp to make it more desirable

$130,000 still very high...

On the contrary i feel it is a steal for that performance if can get past the brand. Its at least 30k cheaper than (somewhat) comparable hatches like the GTI, renault RS, cupra, A250, Alfa Giuletta, s3.

any one knows what is the package for i30 now? does it still come with only the 5" display?

Komoco is throwing in locally fitted 9" upgrade (WinCE based). Both original 5" and 9" HUs have no carplay or android auto support.

PS: This is for hatch and wagon. For Fastback, not sure what they are offering.

Brochure shows that its an 8 inch with AC. Shall drop by expo this weekend to see Komoco's offering.

Also, does anyone know if the i30N is opened for viewing at showroom?

Or its still just numbers getting handed down by the SEs through text messages?

Sorry to disappoint you but that's the international brochure... that 8" screen is factory fitted... I don't think our local models get that...

i testdrive the i30 fastback last weekend at kmc showroom, it's already passed homologation.

can confirm it comes equipped with the original factory fitted 8" screen with Android auto/apple CarPlay.

the fastback is quite highly specced too, has items like electric driver seat, full LED headlights that can angle with steering, front & rear parking sensors, paddleshifters, 17" sports rims etc... even comes with red leather sports seats.

so how much it cost?
