teomingern 6th Gear April 17, 2018 Share April 17, 2018 How do you determine that? And who has the data? Unless someone is a chemical engineer at Exxon/Shell/caltex/spc who test fuel and are willing to share. Everything else is butt feel and hearsay. I know itâs a new car and you want the best. But there are other things in life to be more concerned about. Precisely... all these nonsense about which petrol is better than which... seriously petrol is petrol lar... ↡ Advertisement

Contipro 5th Gear April 17, 2018 Share April 17, 2018 i mean, not all petrol brands in Singapore are the same. Some are cleaner than othersManufacturer specified lowest octane number is the minimum where the engine can adjust by itself to prevent knock. If you can afford higher octane the better so you can extract out the maximum performance of the engine being the engine no need to take care about the engine knock issue. Whether which fuel is higher power that unless you know the calorific value from manufacturer as comparison, otherwise it just depend your butt feel. Like my butt feel tell me mix Shell 97 + Petron 97 50/50 ratio seem give better response. As cleaner I shall refer to the cleaning additive added for clean the valve. But now i30 is DI engine then this cleaning agent serve no purpose already. Please read carbon built up issue on DI engine.
Brass 6th Gear April 17, 2018 Share April 17, 2018 I saw from the pic, i30 wagon is indeed very nice looking. Was contemplating at Shuttle, now this wagon makes Shuttle looks plain. I30 wagon is indeed good, was regretting my choice of the...car I bought. However,I did not regret as much once I saw it at the expo. It's the basic/medium model in Europe. Look of Aircon vents(black ) and the lack of rear central armrests tells everything about it.

coktky 2nd Gear April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 Yes. Both side is synced. If it is sync, then must be something wrong with the climate control already. I has been driving month now, feel that the air-conditioning is not as good as others made. Suspect it make for Europe weather rather than here all time Summer

Not the look of the vent ring, or armrests. These two things are really minor imo. Normally ppl talking about safety and engine & transmission. I would said our one is at the medium trim. We getting a good engine and transmission, but not the safety package. Indeed, wagon is more value than hatchback as it has more (7) airbags.

Don't make sense for a engine to peak at 1500 rpm considering the idle rpm is about 1000.

For the additional 8k u have a car which is nicer, more powerful, consumes less fuel and a pretty spacious boot. It's almost less common than Elantra. Elantra is like flooding sg roads Liao. Elantra Elite vs i30 wagon which is better? i30 with additional $8k, more features with turbo charged engine and less road tax but very new, not aware of any issues? What are the specs differences? What do you get on the i30 that you don't get on the Elantra Elite? And what do you get on the Elantra Elite that you don't get on the i30? From the outset, the i30 was designed for poor road surfaces in Europe and so the suspension is sprung more firmly and the car rides and handles better. You may or may not like it. So you have test drive back to back to find out. Other than that, I guess it's basically the difference in specs and what's important to you. Definitely the turbocharged engine will be much better to drive without I think a significant penalty in fuel consumption... ↡ Advertisement
