club med bintan not bad ... been there many years ago

i think phuket will be more expensive since you need to fly there

another club med is cherating at pahang ....

go club med must open mind and join their activities

from morning till night

else it’s a WASTE if one just want to “nua” in a resort ... no point pay premium for club med

Revive this thread.

Thinking of going club med bintan this June holiday with my family. 2 teenage girl, poly and JC1 age.

Are there things for this age group to do?

For me and wife are more like laz.. around.

Price of $3300+ worth it or not?

How about club med Phuket?

not been to any club med before myself because of the cost and personally, I prefer to experience local sights and sounds and food on the streets.

just me.

All my travel had been plan and plan. and a lot of walking on the street for all the local food anywhere I go.

This time just want to laz...a bit.

just on Banyan Tree, last year this time i was at BYT Bintan, did find the resort rather dated and probably need a refresh.  also it's really for romantic getaways or dirty weekends - wouldn't really recommend it for family.

just curious though, poly + JC1 wouldn't clubmed be too kiddo for them?

Never be to club med, that's why asking any activities suitable for them.

For wife and me, since we want to laz around, so if got reasonable good food all round and wine and beer. Is good for us.

The list of activities available should be listed in their websites. Just google lah.

I have only been to the Cherating CM. Quite relaxing is what I would say about my experience. If have kids in primary school level would be best. But as most of their activities run on schedule, you have to still plan what to do do, where and what time to be there. Not really so relaxing if you want to maximize your stay. If just nua around, then definitely very relaxing as just wake up eat walk around eat nap eat sleep. The food at Cherating CM is quite reasonable, can even have gourmet dinner though must book in advance too.

4 day 3 night.

Banyan Tree only breakfast included. All others meals not include and won't be cheap.

For that kind of money, my personal view is you are better off somewhere else, how about Koh Samui?

Already check. June flight cost more than $500 per person. For a 1.5hr flight, just can't accept it.

the infinity pool villa have own pool and jacuzzi, good for family.

depends on the theme of holiday you want, CM is more like partying with free meal and activities, and Banyan tree is more for relax, peace and privacy.
