Lala81 Hypersonic August 22, 2016 Share August 22, 2016 Yes his elder brother died already. The kid looks so shell shocked that even his pain has numbed i was reading some comments by FB acquaintances (who I presume don't have kids) that this boy wasn't crying after all that has happened to him. Why do singaporean kids keep whining and fussing? I'm like ... you want kids to whine and cry. This boy is exhibiting an abnormal reaction, not the normal reaction. He's probably going to have psychological issues for the rest of his life.

Hopefully we can see peace one day ... I'm more pessimistic... The hope will never be realized... Humans are filled with greed and vanity, the only difference is everyone has different level of greed or had hide it very well... We can't even agree that there is only one race - the human race... we have to categorized to nationality and ethnic group... So how can we achieve peace when we are so divided?

While some of our youngsters are spoilt, I think most kids are well brought up.

He's probably going to have psychological issues for the rest of his life. the kids growing up there do not know how to cry. there's a video of a 4 or 5 yr old boy, taking care of his 2 yr old brother. they were by themselves, after a recent attack. the reporter asked the older boy, why wasnt he crying, he said....if he cries, who's gonna look after his younger brother who is crying? damn sad sia....a 4 yr old boy already must learn how to take care of a slightly younger brother. n here we hv our kids, who cant even play with their younger siblings without making them cry. Yeah i find it funny that people think it's the kids being strong. But they are being strong at a cost. If u watch the human documentaries like tong gong (child labour) or some of the documentaries that go to those SEA villages. The oldest child has to be strong but often they are suffering inside. They either have to give up school or forgo the luxuries of their childhood. They feel responsibility. But responsbility is a weight. If your shoulders are not strong enough/not well prepared/too young, they take a toll on you. Most parents would want their kids childhood to be carefree and innocent as possible. There's more than enough time to get used to harsh reality when they are older lol

It's been scientifically proven though that if you expose kids to too much stress as a child, their brain development is affected. Their IQ and speech capability are affected. It's not just physical stress like malnutrition. Mental stress also does the same thing. Like lack of a nuturing mother, lack of sleep etc. yeah our fears as parents usually fall onto the other side of the coin. Kids too lembek.
