I thought industrial building should have sprinklers ?

 

As a side topic, why condos and HDB in Singapore don't install sprinklers and/or smoke detectors ah ? $$$ ?

Good Suggestion BUT

 

One Ministar say floods happen once in 50 years leh! So fire also once in 50 years; by the time 40 years plus they already kenna enbloc so no need to waste money; HDB door is fire rated so Ah Longs cannot burn down the door maybe, so.

Not sure which year you attended. Mine was 1997 to 2003 at ex-FFDC and 2000 to 2003 at SCDF. Between 2000 to 2003, we alternate training between ex-FFDC and SCDF.

 

Training with SCDF instructors is scary. After each session, we are always completely soaked in water or our own sweat!!!

 

 

I am trained at the sembawang FFDC during 2001. Training includes going into the tear gas room(terrible), plugging hole in a simulated ship cabin(never succeed in stopping the on rushing water), and fire fighting. Very interesting with very nice trainers, but the theory lesson still zzzzzz.

Industrial building higher chance of big fire break out mah.
