Some just walk away, some sell house, car and whatever to do what they think is right and to fight till the end. But oil prices will take a long time to recover, so it is a big gamble but if you give everything, creditors also will likely give you more time.

 

But don't know whether the monies is going or will be going into the listed co or to settle personal debts, which might be due and payable.

SHARES of offshore marine company Ezra Holdings extended their losses on Tuesday for a seventh trading session, slipping further to a record low on Tuesday morning.

At 10.18am, Ezra shares were down 6.4 per cent at 4.4 cents, the lowest price since its listing in August 2003. The counter topped the volumes chart with 22.19 million shares traded.

The failure of rival Swiber Holdings Ltd, which has filed for judicial management, has heightened concerns over the financial health of companies in the oil industry.

Ezra is reportedly seeking to raise US$100 million through a share sale and through the divestment of non-strategic assets, according to a report by UOB Kay Hian on Monday. The brokerage said that the turnaround by Swiber from liquidation to judicial management "only delays the inevitable cascade defaults within the sector".

DBS loaned US$146 million to Swiber in last two months: documents

SINGAPORE (REUTERS) - DBS Group Holdings, Singapore's biggest bank, made two loans to oil and gas services firm Swiber Holdings totaling US$146 million (S$195.6 million) weeks before the company filed for liquidation, according to court documents seen by Reuters.

 

Swiber used the money to redeem maturing bonds, an affidavit filed by the company's chairman Raymond Goh showed. These two loans, made in June and July, accounted for 27 per cent of DBS's total exposure of S$700 million to Swiber.
