Confirm chop and stamp got domino effect.

Jusy hope that the effect wont be too devastating.

Haiz... Banks are now more careful and tightening on the credit loans to these O&G companies ...

With this, and the near term expiry of bonds , some companies will be forced to close shops...

Banks also can't get back $ too... Vicious cycle ....

Just hope everything will be back to normal ....

Anyway, tomorrow morning, DBS will announce results....

May not be too good ...

But may be good for some of us to pick up some bargains :)

the swiber effect continues... local OG counters in deep red today

also, no one knows how much are the banks actually exposed to the OG sector

DBS's S$17b exposure to O&G sector in focus

.....

DBS's upcoming second-quarter results briefing on Aug 8 is likely to be dominated by questions over its S$700 million exposure to failed Swiber Holdings and the consequent S$150 million hit to its earnings.

.....

DBS chief executive Piyush Gupta will have to show that he is on top of the bank's S$17 billion exposure to the oil and gas sector, which accounts for 5.9 per cent of its loan book. After all, it was only in May when he said that he didn't see any imminent signs of weakening in the bank's oil and gas exposure.

Let's see what the analysts said ... These are the big boys that can move the mountain :D

Dividends remain same, so price can still support ...

Not too sure if the result will also pull along the other banks ...
