Kb27 Supersonic July 7, 2016 Share July 7, 2016 Activated carbon/charcoal is different from normal charcoal. It is also more costly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activated_carbon
Tigershark1976 Turbocharged July 7, 2016 Share July 7, 2016 (edited) Short term solution: Charcoal. Charcoal filter. turn off aircon + turn on max fan+ turn to fresh air mode 10 mins before reaching your destination. this will reduce the condensation in the condenser and reduce the mouldy smell. Long term solution: find out the cause of the foul smell. eg dead animal? something stuck at your aircon blower, condenser or air inlet? Dxyong 3rd Gear July 9, 2016 Share July 9, 2016 I am driving new Toyota Wish and I had the same thing a few month after driving...even after nano detox and it came back after awhile....at the end, listened to the service engineer, removed the perfume in the car and the smell go away :)
Mits_jc 5th Gear July 9, 2016 Share July 9, 2016 Do not use any car perfume/freshener; though they will mask the odour initially, these will inevitably lead to a sourish smell developing. The smell will be very obvious when you turn on the air con during a rainy day after you have parked your car in the open for a few hours.

Will I be able to remove it by removing the air freshener and using those charcoal deodorizer?
Yeobt Supercharged July 19, 2016 Share July 19, 2016 use the left over lemon or oranges after you squeeze the juice. i just place them at the side of the floor mat openly. it helps to eliminate smell and insects too.
