New car getting scratched is normal but within few hours is... [smallcry]

 

Anyway, take my advise, dont bother with the scratch unless its so deep till the metal parts and could cause rust issue. After a while, you will get used with it. I think  all new car owners had such lousy experience before.....

by the end of 10years, car will still be due for scrap.

as long as the scratch is not posing any potential rust issue, just let it be.

Cat on car? Must be black or red colour car. My previous car also a favour for kitty. Knn so many car/colour yet always target on my black.

Yep agree. Just keep windcsreens n windows clean. Bird shit on car body, i will use used coupons to lightly scape off though. But at times, i procrastinate n the next ride in the rain blends it in. Hmm..rim actually can clean also. Rim scratching is not in vogue yet? :)

 

tire slashing is in vogue.. wonder if this can be classified as dangerous weapon.. dial 999 and have him taser..

There are no way we can prevent sickos from vandalizing our car, no matter how you park it, where you park it, how your car look, or even how forgiving you are towards other "hooligans" on the road (including jay walkers).

 

I had my fair share of having my cars vandalized at public carpark (not limited to just HDB's). 3 most unimaginable indents (beside having numerous long / deep scratches) are:

- having 6 eggs thrown onto my car on 2nd day of CNY

- porridge / rice and some sticky stuff splash onto both my rear doors and wheels

- a couple of glass bottles (those for keeing cough syrup) smashed around where I parked my car (some fragment hit my car)

 

All these happened at different car park (but within HDB estate), and I have never offended anyone on or off the road, no dealing with ah long or whatsoever finance company, my car are just normal Japanese model, so why am I targeted? But I have learned over the years to live with it, these are part and parcle of car ownership somehow. It is easier said than done for many (yes, I did curse and swear sometime), but what can we do?
