He was a gay driven to self hatred by anti gays rhetoric.

And then we wonder why so much violence happens in the name of religion - and that until now, there has never been an American president who is openly athiest?

I do not subscribe to Western values and if they value rapists over athiests its their choice. I think sometimes Western people get it all back to front including the missionary position but I respect their choice to do it ayway they like.

I don't know much about violence and religion and Western values but I would just like to say how much I like Bill Clinton.

But please don't be too self congratulatory about western values and Singapore and all...

Just look at 377a and Singapore stance on marital rape, and the recent case where that transgender guy was found innocent of rape and that under Singapore law ladies can't commit rape...

We're hardly a symbol of enlightenment or understanding in comparison to some of the screwed up American values.

And as a side point ....Please don't lump all of us "white people" under "western" values and equate it to American okay. ..

But the thing is, if there is very tight gun control, do you think he would have gotten weapons so easily and mess kill people? Probably he would have gotten chopper, golf stick or whatever items but just not gun as there is no way he could get it unless he smuggle it. Firstly New Zealand is east of Singapore so I see the wise people of New Zealand

Secondly all our laws come from our former colonial masters and we all know about UK

There is gun control in France , UK and even in India, South Africa and Indonesia .... Same things have happened there too ...... So what is all the talk of gun control ?? All have suffered like the same fate in similar circumstances too

Yes. But you see.. At least these people will have a lot harder time to get firearms and not so easily that could be bought from

Stores. They can't prevent it 100%, but at least can minimize it such that it takes a lot more effort, time and coordination as compared to now in USA, it do not need much planning and effort, just go to any store and buy guns.

 

Okay.. I shall stop my views for a while to have some respect and also sensitivity of this topic.

i read that he wanted to buy a bullet proof tactical vest but was rejected for some reason.
