New Suzuki Vitara 2016

I've just received news last week that my SE managed to 'secure' my coe at Cat A - 53K blar blar lol.

As I chose /Black Top. waiting time is till Oct 16. Asked the SE to handle my trade-in as well ... can't be bothered actually. When did I become so lazy lol

Your point is valid, I did notice a considerable 'downsized' of the Car capacity if comparing GV and V2016. However Suzuki had long declare this will be their benchmark for future car sizes, I really feel that it has to be apple of the new owner's eyes. I happen to like it over other much bigger models in the market.

Unless I have trips to end of Malaysia (Unlikely to happen), I would say it is about the same as my current Terios ride. I'm able to ferry my much bigger Brother and both my parents at rear. Maybe having no kids makes the difference. If I have kids, I'll choose Vezel over Vitara ... But you know, it's just missing that conti-feel on Vezel than on Vitara.

Anyway now just shake leg wait for the car to come in .... probably in 2-3 weeks time pester the SE for the chassis number lol. Don't stress him too much thou. My current ride is not due till early next year anyway so I can afford to wait .....

Be happy to share pictures here once I got the car. Am currently hunting high and low for accessories to mount on lo, from taobao etc .... It is crazy to fork out extra 3k for all these paste-on bumpers ... we can actually DIY easily by oursleves.

Have to admit ... can't expect much from cars nowadays .. all are still plastic, plastic, plastic .... Zzzzzz

Be getting the car finally!!!

July ...

August ....

September .....

Oct...  BOOM!

The Salesman called me up .. Mr XXX , how are you? ha, your car finally reached Singapore liao. So can we meet up and you pay off the rest? You can get your car within 2 weeks after the necessary fittings at our workshop ... blar blar

Went down last week and paid the remaining Downpayment ... Settle the Trade-in of my car at the spot too.

Then ......

Armrest Console delayed so no armrest first ... WTF ... (then why you need 2 weeks for "necessary fittings"???)

Aiyo ... Suzuki Really needs to improve on the Service ... then I jokingly highlighted that he (salesman) should have replace it with the Spoiler (the other freebie) since this is not available. NO! a stright answer ... LOLOL .. this Uncle salesman very firm ..

Anyway ... will be getting it tomorrow (14/10/16) at the pick-up point ... Gonna miss my current ride but let's welcome the new one!

Thnaks!

Yah, I saw more Swifts, SX4 and S-cross than Vitaras ..

Saw 6 so far, 3 of them near my place ... so I guess it's popular with Northerners! LOLOL

Probably be uploading a few pictures on Weekend. Full packed day ahead after collecting ... life goes on. Cannot idle LOL

Looking forward to your reviews and photos.

I am also looking at this car now but somewhat put off by the rear leg room space.

Ya Hui is ambassador for Swift, My Vitara is Ann Kok Wooowwwoooooo

Ann kok cannot make it liao.. I saw her this year at Cnc merc pandan service center. everything sagging liao. the front the back and the leg.. very different from what you see on TV. her ass and leg got lots of cellulite. whereas ya Hui is young and so cute and pretty and sexy and tender...

As promised to the bros here, my ride .... :)

Sexy .. classy ... vintage feel in my opinion.

Did anyone steal glances while I'm on  the streets .. Seriously . all the time.

From collection point to Vivocity .. then from East Coast Road to Hougang. From there to Geylang and finally to my home in the north.

Plenty of driving for day one. So I think I can make some conclusion. . it is fun to drive.

One thing I didn't really like ... the front LED light self-on when engine starts ... holy crap .. wana snake a while in carpark also cannot ... people know you're in the car and the park in front of you with hazard lights on, don't you just hate it.. sianzz.

I'm doing comparison to my previous ride . Terios.

Much quieter

Much wider

Standard cruise control, reverse sensors etc

Auto-cut off engine when stationry, kinda irritating especially the air-con also turn non-cold wtf

Typical same design with bluetooth conncetions for mobile .. fun to use but a bit noisy on the audio.

Blindspot surprisingly good and clear

Suspension can be better thou,

Light on the steering Wheels but easy to drive

FC : last recorded 11.3km/L .. is it considered good? Much better than Terios actually.

Turning corners are crispy and well-balanced

Leg space ... pretty decent .. i'm 1.8M and so you can judge from the pictures ...Don't come and tell me all your friends or relatives/ loved ones are more than 1.8M tall ... you should seriously "go and fxxx yourself" ... sorry for my tone but I find it lame to compare legroom when most Asians are not even tall ...

Vitara is a compact yet reliable and spacious enough Crossover. Don't compare it with 2L cars. I only compare it with Vezel and both are good in my opinion but in terms of conti-feel .. I still say Vitara stands out in a class of its own :)

Overall .. 7/10 ... 3 more for future observation lol

Day 6 of driving.

FC have tremendously improved to 15.7Km/L.

Been hitting 60% town, 40% highway.

Car unfortunately is kinda noisy when driving but it gets better with speed;

Otherwise it is as solid as it should be!

Hmm... maybe Champion Motors overpump your tire if you feel suspension too stiff/jumpy and steering too light.

Check air pressure when tire is cold (before moving after parking overnight or at most move 1km) and see if match Suzuki recommended pressure - normally recommended pressure is on sticker pasted on door frame which can see when open driver door.

Hitting 1K liao ....

FC reads as shown .... so far so good.

Now rotting at Service Center lolattachicon.gifIMG_3141.JPG

For 1.6 SUV,your FC is very good.

Colleage 1.5 vezel only manage 14+km/L with eco mode.
