Let be start the ball rolling.

It cant be VINCAR right?  My friend bot from them (year ago) n no issue.

Be careful. Later got sued for naming. Let the buyer settle first. If PI really sucks, he will surely come back here to tell.

I think as long as your car not in Singapore AD will not issue COE, reason to clear exsiting stocks buyer cars and make way in warehouse (cost involve cars laying around in warehouse) and to make people who cars already here happy.

COE only valid for 3 months, if they confirm COE for you and your car almost 3 months away, what if ship sink OTW to singapore? Factory cock up due to strike, earthquake and fire??? etc many things can happen then how?? waste COE meh?

just a thought

CAT A & B valid for 6 months and CAT E valid 3 months

What you post is valid but fact remains some ADs do bid for COE before car is here esp during new car launches. Just go to Civic thread and you will read some buyers already got their COEs though car not here yet.

I suppose ADs could appeal to LTA for extension for those unforeseen situations like ship sink etc as can prove through sales agreement and shipping docs to support the appeal that their cases are genuine.

Cant use now to compare with last time. Since when does coe shoot up consectively and the the recent one by > 6k?

There is always a limit. Yes, last time coe up by 10k after 4 bid, NG bid may still can secure the coe. That doesnt meant if coe up by 20k, AD will still secure for u.

Agree, if next 2 or 3 rounds touch 65k, dont say PI, even AD cant secure.

Let see this weekend showroom crowd.

If like last two weekend, then $65k COE is sure to come.

Very illogical logic... if ad also cant get, then who buy up all the coe? Private bidders? Not possible, uber? Very unlikely they will bid so high although they can afford.

So, no way it will reach a level where ad also can't afford since ad will take up imo easily 70-80% of available coe...hehe

AD won't bid too aggressively cos it will eat into their margin unless they desperately need to clear stocks.

I have also heard of PI releasing COE to buyer cos of guarantee, but tell buyer no car, and ask buyer to get car outside themselves. And usually buying car without COE is always more costly, by at least $5k, usually more.

Thought CASE has increased the max to $10K or more.

Remember the cases at Sim Lim Square? Give a try at CASE.

If ADs and PIs can't afford to bid $65K, who pushed it there?

Frankly speaking I not sure if Sept and Oct quota will put down pressure on rising COE reason?

COE quota or sales of new cars were the highest during 2006 to 2009 era. and due to the past high COE ($75k to $90k+) many people put changing new cars on hold. Thus currently many cars owner are experiencing thier current cars COE to expire soon!!!

Thus with the new loan easing, crowd at showroom, media reporting together with the need to buy new cars or change due to exisiting car COE expiring is very real!

By then, there will be people rushing in to get new car for the new year.

Isnt,4 bid guaranteed coe meant dealer have to by hook or crook get him the coe within the 4 bid? Why still need to wait further fro next bid? cant they just get him the open cat?

Cos PI operate on a different set of rules. Lol.

I think should not just accept to refund the booking fee, since it is "guaranteed". Should take legal actions. Small claims may not entertain you, since it is more than $5K.

If the other way round, the buyer lost his job and decided to back out, do you think the PI will just refund the money?

You think so easy to take legal actions ah... Unless you are damn rich and got cash to burn..
