With additional 2 years servicing and bonnet insulator + standard freebies

You are lucky as I bought mine few weeks back (1.0 ST) without the additional 3rd & 4th warranty and bonnet insulator! Effectively, that's about $1000 in value  [rolleyes]  I actually just "complained" to my SE but was told that the company has not changed the promo after I signed on the dotted line  [confused]  Did your SE tell you that all new customers will be getting the additional freebies? Anyway, I did upgrade the car camera to iRoad Q7 and the top up required is $150 - I like the design better.

Really Glad to have found this forum as after reading all the invaluable posts, I decided to go with this car as honestly, I thought it's very value for money! (and hope that I can get use to the MTA)!

I thought to insulate engine noise, how to reduce the engine noise? Do you guys fix insulation strip along door which can be ordered from taobao? Or any cheap and good gadgets? Thinking a way to make my new ride as perfect as possible [:p]

Quite a few did the strip along the door diy.

Some ask shops to do, about $70 +/- for 4 doors.

you can see more info inside the watsapp chat.

The HB 1.0T should be selling at $85,888. This is to be of $7k different from the ST as per before. IMHO.

I had that 1.8FD - see if you can stretch to the 1.4T. That one will bring a smile to your face.

The 1.0 is a tad slow..

Do note, if you expect Made In Japan Honda reliability and fuss free driving, you should read this entire thread carefully..

Otherwise do have a look around for other alternatives too...

I drive a 1.0 ST. My previous cars were Stream, and a 350 hp Supercharged Altezza.

Bad review? Hmm. I don’t like the road noise. Don’t like the firm ride.

Not sure about getting parts.

But one thing I can tell you is, drive this thing like a MT car.

In MT mode, you smoke most cars on the road. Vezel, Altis, Civic FD, Forester Turbo, most 1.8 and 2.0 car. Can play with other turbo cars but open stretch will lose out to WRX, big cc cars. But traffic light to traffic light or our busy expressway, no problem at all.

Those who stated that the 1.0T is under power are judging the car on paper, and hearsay. Or they drive like a wussy.

Neutral Newbie

Is there any difference between 2016 and 2017 astra 1.0 model ? Can't find any info if it has lane assist and other features. Contemplating between a 2016 2nd model or brand new 2017.
