What is the rear suspension of Astra? In the brochure, it mentions Watt's link and compound link, are they the same? Is it independent suspension?

I consider the i30 an astra killer for the price.

Do u guys agree? Not trolling.

But astra definitely better looking!

Agree that Astra has an edge in the looks, but the i30 is really quite nice too.  It is also selling the 1.4T at Astra's 1.0T price.  Not sure how it is setup but the multi-link rear suspension is potentially more comfortable.  The handling of the Astra is really great, but I could use a tad more comfort.  I do not think the i30 will handle as well as the Astra though the i30 may have a more updated suite of driver assistance, not sure about this.  It also has rear air-con and potentially better NHV insulation.

The Astra 1.0 engine (esp good FC >20km/l) and selling price difference is good enough for me not to consider the 1.4 Astra despite the AMT.  On the other hand, If Hyundai brought in the 1.0T with the dual clutch, it will be really hard to resist....  [:p]

From what I was told, the front suspension is "Macpherson Strut" and the rear suspension is "Compound Link Suspension"..

Yeah, that engine is something to beat at the under 100k price point.. I don't think there's anything faster to be honest... not a new car at least..

To the nameless person who gave the dislike for this comment - you have no guts and you make no sense.

the noise happens when shifting gears? if so, it's normal and some love, others don't.

this noise is not heard in other make and model. and its not the noise of gear shifting . its more of some loose component or excessive freeplay when u accelerate or decelerate

Its i30, not i3. I notice this being repeated constantly. i3 is a totally different car.

Is it only in car parks? Some gearboxes do face this including DSG ones too.
