BenTong Turbocharged January 1, 2017 Share January 1, 2017 We can boast that we won 1-0 and a clean sheet but the way we played last night, are we playing an away game? anyway I don't care, 3 points and a great way to start 2017. lol Happy New Year and YNWA!! Wouldn't have mind a 1: 0 scoreline @ Bmouth. Damn ↡ Advertisement
Jamesc Hypersonic January 1, 2017 Share January 1, 2017 (edited) Possession does not mean control. That's Brenda Roger's philosophy. Control is creating opportunities. How many goal scoring opportunities a side makes. And results is about penetration, how many goals a side puts away. Isn't football sexy? Vegas Turbocharged January 1, 2017 Share January 1, 2017 he is correct. Man City control the game. It is champion making material to win matches that opponent are controlling. fully agree except that Kun did not even have 1 touch in the pool area. pep can say they control the game which the possession stats indicate correctly, i am pleased that they are controlling the game in areas where we wanted them to. Another pleasing aspect: The 2nd half, we started so slowly, i was worried about a sevilla repeat. But we managed to grind it out a very comfortable 1-0 Now i would request Shitty to beat all our title rivals from now on and lose to small teams That's Brendan Rodgers football. Siang Lai eh? OuTstanding, Character, death by football? We have 19 more 1-0 win to go. i can accept some 2-0 and 3-0 scores

Gizmore Supercharged January 2, 2017 Share January 2, 2017 Clean sheet and a good win for 2016. I am surprise by Klopp's defensive setup rather than his typical heavy metal football of constant pressing and attack. I thought Man City will come back in second half but their intensity just wasn't enough to breakdown Liverpool. Klavan is looking a lot like Hyypia. Simple, no nonsense defender. His play is predictable and this helps the GK a lot. Modern day football prefers playing from the back but I think it works only for lesser team, or when opposition does not press with great intensity. For Man City, direct simple clearance probably works better. Less chances of mistakes and giving possession away in own area. It will be interesting to see how Klavan partner Matip. Klavan the calm headed defender together with a compose Matip who is confident of playing the ball out from own area. Overall, it is good to see Klopp is flexible with his tactics and adjust according to the game rather then being stubborn.

Jamesc Hypersonic January 2, 2017 Share January 2, 2017 Sunderland will be tougher than Man City. Defoe can score from a half chance. Their only weakness is The Chosun one he doesn't know tactics.

Every game in this congested period is sure to be tough. For this Slumberland match I suspect it would be a park bus/long ball kinda challenge. Klopp should be planning for this and I believe his team selection and game plan will be pro-actively calibrated.
