1.75 is an ok height for a winger. I think it's more like he can't help out in defensive department. Most likely he will be the one in front when Liverpool defending corners to make use of his pace for counter attack.

According to BBC Sport, Southampton star Sadio Mane is edging closer to a move to Liverpool this summer.

 

The Reds have reportedly agreed a £30 million fee for the forward, who will undergo a medical on Monday.

 

But according to the Liverpool Echo, they could have had the Southampton man for much cheaper just two years ago.

 

They report that the Reds much maligned transfer committee identified the player as a potential signing back in 2014 when he was impressing for Redbull Salzburg.

 

He bagged 13 league goals in a side that dominated their domestic league that season and finished the campaign with 23 goals in 50 games in all competitions.
