Allen will only be good if Pool plays a 3man CM not with an attacking mid, but with 2 more other CMs, if we do that we sacrifice an attacking mid..  He's too lightweight for a 2 man mid..

Does making Henderson the main man in the middle makes Liverpool's midfield way better as compared to having Allen in the middle? I don't think it will have a drastic change in the standard. Allen is no Pirlo but neither is Henderson. Yes Henderson has a fantastic attitude and that is how he earn his captain's armband but in terms of technical ability and vision to distribute, Allen has the slight edge.

 

I have come to observe Henderson has the tendency to try to make those kind of intricate pass but ends up finding nobody or his teammates are just not in the same wavelength as him. 

 

It would be preferable for Liverpool to keep both Allen. In situation where Allen will be out-muscled and bullied, Liverpool can always play Henderson instead of Allen. The team needs to learn to trust him and play to him to make the forward runs. 

 

Liverpool at their current level is never going to be sign a midfield player with the standard of Alonso. Unless Klopp has another player who can improve the midfield standard, otherwise, save the money and make use of the current players.

Bale could be useful, although he's also been injured at RM for stretches?

 

As for Ramsey, apart from the season when he scored a lot in the first half of the season, he hasn't been that good. I'm not sure why SG said he's the best attacking midfielder around. In the few matches I watched the gunners, he was pathetic. Better not buy him...

Ramsey has the same problem as Stevie G. Thought not as talented.

He's a neither here nor there type of player.

 

As a midfielder, he's not disciplined enough tactically. He's a run all over the shop type of player.

I think he needs to find a manager other than AW who can make use of his ability.

anyway with brexit, i think LFC probably has to look around BPL more to get the players. The european players maybe hesitant to move until they know better what they are getting themselves into. especially with the fluctuations in currency and the uncertain status of EU players within BPL.

Ramsey doesn't have speed, cannot dribble, can't head, can't tackle. You're absolutely right that he runs like a headless chicken also. My theory is that he is able to make runs into the box a lot to score (when he was scoring), as opponents didn't think he's dangerous enough

I actually think he's a better Jordan henderson. He was super impressive when he was on his goal scoring run that time.
