Liverpool 2016/17: YNWA with Klopp

Let me be honest here. With such performances in our last few games do we deserve to be in the champion league? Finishing 4th one still need to playing in the qualifying game before can progress into the group stage.

 

Don't doubt me. I want pool to be in the champion league. Announcing our return to the elite competition. But..a big big but...Riding on other teams to drop points so we finish fourth??

 

Not that the last few matches were against strong teams. Team on paper we should be abe to overcome and gain 3 points. Put the coverted champion league spot on plate that should add as an even more incentive to give all and fight in our last few matches.

 

Players and manager need to take full responsibility if we drop point against west ham (mid table nothing to fight) and boro again.

So to me, can qualify is better than not qualify, get in first, get the good players, then worry abt performance later

 

As for Southampton, yes they have nothing to play for, yet they played a park the bus and time wasting game. So boo to them

I don't boo them. This is their tactic. Is up to us to counter their defensive tactic. In football team don't play to your strength you don't boo them. Not me. too many matches..We caant and don't know how to break down defensive minded team.

 

I want pool to be in cpl as well. Hope by then we can strengthen our squad with players that know how to break down defensive team.

Actually very true. Anyone here feel that the overall quality of UCL actually drop because Liverpool wasn't in it.

 

In fact overall performance of England team in UCL drop badly when Liverpool wasn't playing...

lucas definitely wasnt the problem. in fact, the way saints played, he didnt hv anything much to do anyway. the problem is with the attack. too slow n too lacking of ideas. n i would hv thought klopp will bring in the changes during halftime. instead he waited till 70th min. really dunno wat he was thinking.

Very angry now. Not only Southampton manager. Many many many many lower team got their tactic spot on. One i say luck. 2nd time i say luck. 3rd,4th,5th...I said kloop shit.

 

We don't deserve to be in the champion league. Not at all!!!!!!!

 

I already said that in earlier post, I think after the match against palace, that its hard to see why we deserve to be in CL but you said we deserve simply because we are Liverpool, which I kind of agree. We are one of the greatest club in the world and to me only real madrid is above us. In my view the rest like barcelona, juventus, bayern munich etc are on par with us.

 

But the fact is with all the so-called tough training during preseason, no european football distraction, more training time in between matches, we still have not iron out the mistakes. We didnt improve our defence, we should have more time for tactics but I didnt see any tactics to counter opponent. And our fitness is no difference from other teams. In fact in some matches poorer than the opponents. We run alot but so what? We didnt run smart at all. We still dont have a set of play that we can use consistently in attack. We rely too match on individual play and forcing mistakes through pressing to create chances. How do we deserve to be in CL with all these deficiencies? 

 

Klopp said qualifying for CL will be consider a success. If we dont lets see how he spin his words again.
