Give him chance he doesn't treasure.

At Euro, only see him shooting blanks when he's called on...

The English Liverpool players will now take 3 weeks holiday and join the squad in 2nd half of July. To me this is consider late in joining the squad since preseason starts at 2nd July.

Welcome Mane :)

Sadio Mane has become Liverpool’s third most expensive signing after the club confirmed his £30million arrival from Southampton.

The Senegal international has signed a “long-term contract” believed to be a five-year deal at Anfield and that puts the 24-year-old behind only Andy Carroll (£35million) and Christian Benteke (£32.5m) in terms of the club’s record signings.

The Senegal international, who scored 25 goals in 75 appearances for the Saints, is the fourth signing by manager Jurgen Klopp, who has already brought in centre-back Joel Matip, midfielder Marko Grujic and goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Mane told Liverpoolfc.com: “Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“It’s a club that has won a lot of trophies and has a big history.

“Now I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and my teammates and starting the season.”

Mane moves to Anfield after two seasons in the Premier League with Southampton in which he netted 25 goals in 75 appearances in all competitions.

The former Red Bull Salzburg man will wear the number 19 shirt.

Mane follows Loris Karius, Joel Matip, as well as Marko Grujic in joining Jurgen Klopp’s squad ahead of the new season.

And in an exclusive chat with Liverpoolfc.com immediately after putting pen to paper on his contract, Mane explained why he is relishing his opportunity to move to Merseyside and work with Klopp.

He said: “I knew Liverpool were interested in me, I had some [other] opportunities, but I think for me this is the right club, the right coach and the right moment to change.

“I am very happy to be a part of Liverpool Football Club.

“He [Klopp] said he wanted me to come to play for Liverpool. I didn’t even have to ask myself, I said straight away ‘yes, I am interested’ because I know Liverpool.

“I am convinced Liverpool are the right club for me with the right coach.”
