mavericke 1st Gear June 21, 2017 Share June 21, 2017 Yes. abit on the high side. if they can place the selling below $107K that would be a killer to other SUV of the same category. imho, its not really ex when you compare the features that are available. Comparing with Vezel, QQ, Kadjar, Mokka, Tucson and Sportage, if there is any just basis for comparison, the 3008 just excels in terms of features and equipment. Of course, it would be better if the price is lower, then many more will consider buying it. But I guess, there should also be a premium price to pay for the features that are available. Anyway the price is not as high as the Tiguan, which is another different story. ↡ Advertisement
JyvonchiLoh Neutral Newbie June 21, 2017 Share June 21, 2017 My SE told me that the car may comes with this 'Active Safety Brake', but their spec sheet doesn't shows. According to Europe specs, this feature is standard. Anyone can confirm?
Ozkaki 2nd Gear June 21, 2017 Share June 21, 2017 Tested the car and Lot of features. Love it. I went to do a check on the 1.2l engine n found it is using timing belt and not timing chain. So I presume the timing belt is not life time maintenance free and need to replace after some mileage. actually the belt is running as a lubricated belt and new material, which is supposed to be as lasting as chain. i asked SE when need to change, and i think she anyhow say it is the same as the old belt. My SE told me that the car may comes with this 'Active Safety Brake', but their spec sheet doesn't shows. According to Europe specs, this feature is standard. Anyone can confirm? test it during test drive!

Sailor 2nd Gear June 24, 2017 Share June 24, 2017 Checked with SE and unfortunately, no news when the 1.6T Allure would be available. If the 1.6 T Allure is coming late and ride into the new VES scheme in 2018, then it would not be worth buying at all with the $20,000 surcharge. With extra downpayment, extra total price and extra depreciation, I wonder how they gonna sell it Question - How does this VES (or CEVS) works? Additional price to pay (thru ARF) for sure.... but does it also mean that in 5 yrs time when the car is scrapped, I could get back 75% of the VES paid initially? Any advise is much appreciated. LTA VES.jpg Blue Circle = 1.2 Turbo Red Circle = 1.6 Turbo Emission Specs from Peugeot Brochure (UK) No the VES you paid is extra to govt, it won't be reflected on the PARF. The rebate will be deducted from OMV to reflect ARF (OMV-VES(or CEVS) = ARF). Edited June 24, 2017 by PrashanthSP
