Hi everyone, I tested drive 3008 and quite like the car. However every time I mentioned that I might buy it, most will give me the look. The concern they have is that the spare parts are expensive and have to wait a long time for it to be repair. What’s the experience of the owner here?

@stormman  hi, I have driven one for 5 years, no issues at all. You can go back to AutoFrance or Antz (cheaper). Looking around, there are enough Pugs on the road to warrant vendors to bring in the spare parts. and all car brands models have spare parts for sure, just go where to fix only. You can join the pugs telegram to understand more too.   Ultimately, buy what you like, you are the one driving, not them. I know the look you are talking about, ignore, you are paying, not them. Do enough homework and make your own decision. Test drive many to compare (same specs la).   My comparison is against Renault Scenic, Honda HRV, Nissan Qashqai and Toyota CHR. I drove to Genting and Cameron Highlands last week (what a drive, figure 8 for 2hrs up and down).....I think its a good car, better than I though, that roadtrip proves a point I confirmed earlier.

Have fun.

Just bought a 2018 1.6t Allure... 1st French car after driving Germans for the last few years. The interior is really a class above many others and the engine is surprising punchy - both are what swayed me from getting a JDM.

@Mojoe just curious, what is JDM? thank you. Yeah, I do like the interior, it’s one of the main factors why I made the decision to buy the  3008 back in 2018, it’s quiet when you drive, though it’s still less from eg Volvo cars (price is different too). Good decision, 2018 then has the lowest COE! Now COE is crazy.

@Elixir JDM = Japanese Domestic Market/Model... Just  a short term to refer to Japanese cars in general although technically it should only refer to Japanese cars sold only in the Japan market.

Pretty impressed with the car and the 1.6 THP is quite punchy. Is there a dedicated Peugeot forum or Whatsapp/Telegram group? 1st French car, so would like to know more about it. Price is also one of the other reasons I went with it... and fuel consumption.

@Mojoe so I guessed you bought a resale Peugeot 3008? should be a wise choice considering current COE is very high. When I bought mine, COE was 30k. May I ask what factors did you consider when you decided to buy the resale and from which supplier? did you compare with other resale models and just curious what choices did you compare with? Thanks.

@Mojoe you can look for Club Peugeot Singapore on FB or on Telegram, ChitChat club Peugeot Singapore, SOS Club Peugeot Singapore. I don't often access the groups but good to know when you need some advice form the bro/sis there.

Yes I got a 2018 3008 1.6 THP Allure from Carro. Would have loved the newer 1.6 Puretech EAT8 but there wasn't any around. There are a few reasons, ranging from fuel economy, the interior of the 3008 and the power delivery that I thought was adequate. I also quite like the look of it. And yes COE... sold my car for a good price and wanted to get something cheaper. I was looking at Skoda, Toyota, Honda and Mazda. The 2nd choice would been either a Skoda or a Mazda CX-5.
