Chances of getting a mentor like this is extremely rare unless he is comfortable with you and doesn't feel that you are a threat. Given your intelligence and qualifications, you should be able to brainstorm the situation and come up with possible solutions and not wait for people to feed you. Got Dr big fark? The only doctor I will address as Dr is the one I see for medical problems. lol Exactly bro! I mentor the juniors to ensure they are coping well and quite a few are pHDs. However, their attitude SO FAR is that RESPECT is earned and they have respect for how i do my work and handle the difficult cases and they LEARN from it. I truly respect their humility and go the distance to teach them the ropes fully until they are fully competent. Clearly, none of that entitlement mentality that we are seeing in the last few pages

Beehive3783 Turbocharged May 23, 2016 Share May 23, 2016 Good on you too. Because in the private sector where dog eats dog, it is rare to find such a mentor like you. For me, i have been in MNCs and SMEs and right now I am working in the smallest company I have ever been in. But I have a good boss and colleagues and I have never been happier. One thing is I am grateful to him for hiring me, and also that he is teaching me things on a day to day basis about managing staff and some essential office politics that one must know about when dealing with big big bosses or sneaky foreign counterparts On 5/23/2016 at 3:23 AM, RadX said: Exactly bro! You know, it does not pay to hold back everything. I Never do that as people also need to learn and make their keep. If they are willing to learn, it only makes me happy. Ultimately, the organisation benefits as a whole and EVERY effort counts. Agree on the boss thing as I have an excellent boss as well and the culture here advocates this which it wonderful.
