Telling you old is still gold. Giving you one more time to harvest [:p][laugh][laugh]

To clarify, this recent flowering banana plant isn't the same one that fruited earlier. That was chopped down long ago, after harvesting.

Banana plant must be removed after harvesting, becos it only flowers/fruited once.

Once it's removed, the next 'standby' sucker at its base will take over with rapid growth.

wah, I never knew banana plants only can harvest once! Interesting find out.  [thumbsup]

 

How long does it take to bear fruits? As it from zero to harvest.

Your Pandan leaves very 'Ong', nice flowers, hibiscus?

Yes.

Beside pot the one yellow colour leaves belong to my neighbour.

what's a tieshu?

Ironwood tree?

I only know this plant is call tieshu.

Very difficult to flower.

Must wait until it flower than can buy toto.

Plant for at least 6-7 yrs already. Never flower before.

Maybe no direct sunlight.

If flower, toto must buy big big already.

Some traditional chinese family will keep a stem of these plants with a few leaves in a bowl of  water, sometime fill be marbles.It's for wealth, and if it flower (which is rare), then the luck will come.

LAst time heard this phrase 铁树开花 often.. Guess it meant good luck comes to you..

The straight one is called 观音竹 and the Twirling ones are called 转运竹, they are bamboo family

 

My mum said b4 when luck is good, don't anyhow buy the twirling ones, later good luck changed to bad luck
