If I have a chance to redraw the group, I would put Albania, Turkey, Croatia and Romania together. I want to see fighting on the pitch among the Balkan states 

 

And the other group I want to see together is England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales

Trouble with France is that they have not played a competitive match since the last WC as they qualified automatically so were spared the qualifiers but yes they do have home advantage.

I was quite impressed by them in the last WC, losing narrowly 1-0 to Germany in q-final.

 

Their squad is also largely intact from the last WC, with the exception of Benzema's exclusion. Hugo Lloris and the defense looks ok, midfield looks competitive with Pogba and Payet who's having a great season with West Ham, not forgetting the monster N'Golo Kante. Upfront is also exciting with Griezmann who's having great season with A Madrid, and Kingsley Coman one of the best young wingers now. Only weakness I guess is cannot depend on Giroud as point man, as he's like-for-like replacement for Benzema.
